Special conditions of detention: Methods of physical maintenance of SCP-2901 individuals do not currently exist, due to the presence of extra-dimensional properties. All cases related to SCP-2901 must be transferred to the jurisdiction of MOG Phi-5 ("Twilight") for the purpose of further investigation.

If a hostile encounter is imminent, personnel should follow the following steps:

Demonstrate the threat. Use clothing to simulate a size increase.
Stick to the previous step until the individual SCP-2901 loses interest in you and calms down.
Avoid physical contact if possible.1,2. To keep your distance, use improvised objects (throws are allowed).
Description: SCP-2901 is a species of nocturnal carnivorous scavengers with limited intelligence; the average height of an individual is 1.7 m. They usually have an ellipsoid shape, have two large eyes with a layer of photophoric tissue. SCP-2901 are covered with small iridescent lamellar scales similar to those of lepidoptera.3 SCP-2901 are capable of free movement through space-time and possess abilities such as levitation, flight and teleportation. They are, however, tangible and vulnerable to conventional firearms. SCP-2901 is capable of completely suppressing all sounds within a radius of approximately 25 m. The purpose of this ability is not yet fully understood, but it is assumed that it helps with disguise.

Several methods of containment and/or containment of SCP-2901 are currently being considered.
