I run the server this error is being produced on. Other players have been able to join fine, but a few players are getting the CRC error described before.
We are both verified using the same exact version of the map from the workshop (this one). Cache is verified. Deleted and redownloaded with the same result.
I am tempted to make a new workshop entry for this map, and Breville, but I hear that one cannot simply rename a BSP file and garner success, because the internals (am I correct?) are still linked to previous codes. I believe it would be up to the original developer, or someone skilled in converting BSP to an editable form and back again? Or am I wrong and it is simply a txt file issue?
I've spent the last week or 2 dealing with these CRC issues, so any alternate routes other than ones provided on Google would be fantastic :)
go to your map folder and delete the version of the map you got in there.
when you then join the server it should download the correct one.
