Hiding the Quiver
Step-by-step instruction

Always make backups before modding a game!

  • 1. Open up Fable Explorer.

  • 2. Click on the "File" - "Open" option.

  • 3. Open the folder in the path: "game location\Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\FableData\Build\Data\CompiledDefs\Development".

  • 4. Choose to display the file format (*.bin). and double-click the "names.bin" file first.
And doing the same action, double-click the "game.bin" file first.

  • 5. Click on the menu path to the file "game.bin" and using the option "Search" look for the desired file "5718 - OBJECT_QUIVER".

  • 6. Click the + next to OBJECT and double-click C8636B2E-Model-Graphic below.

  • 7. Set "0" in the BankIndex box and click Apply Changes to apply the setting.

  • 8. At the end click "Action" and click on "Save Mods and Run Fable".

  • POSSIBLY
you may have an unexpected error when saving.

  • If this is the case, it's okay, we will save directly. To do this, select again the file "game.bin", click with the right cursor and click on the option "Save As...".

  • In the window that opens, we need to select the file "game.bin" and overwrite it with confirmation.

Result
You are breathtaking, all bows in the game now have no quiver behind the hero's back.

If you want it back the way it was, just change the value back to "-1".

This method can only be applied to all bows at once, there is no way to apply it to any particular bow.

  • 6. Double-click the desired ID, click on the + and click on CDefs.

  • 7. In the window on the right, find the box with the name CWeaponDef and click on the first link in it.

  • 8. In the window that opens, click on + CWeaponDef and look for 9151B4EC (where there may be different options "Link is used with bow", or "Quiver Object", or "SheatheObject" - the inscription depends on the version of your file def.xml). Change the value from "-1" to "0" and press "Apply Changes".

  • 9. At the end click "Action" and click on "Save Mods and Run Fable".

Weapons may appear when you first load the game, just arm yourself and put it back.

If you want it back the way it was, just change the value back to "-1".

This procedure must be done for each weapon individually!

Yeah that's what I thought was going to be the case
maybe if I feel insane enough one day I'll do it for every single weapon
regardless, thanks for the guide to hide the quiver!
I do a little Fable Explorer modding myself so I just had to add this to my mod

The quiver is hidden in all weapons.
But to hide a specific weapon you need to hide it individually.

Thank you! I've always wanted to hide that stupid Quiver!
but do you have to do that tweak for every single possible melee weapon as well?
if that's the case it sounds like a lot of work
