Colored Hero & Save Names
Av Lovecraft
In darkest dungeon the code is spaghetti. As such, with the right text being put into a character's or an estate's name, you can trick the code into thinking you rewrote a file present in the game's code.

Tl;dr <c>colorcode(Name)</c>, color codes are in the guide. Works with BR too.

STEP ONE:
Type <c>. At that point it will become invisible, and so will the next six characters you type. Those next six characters you type will dictate the color code of the color for all the letters that are typed after it. You can't chose just any combination: it has to correspond to a color in the files. If it doesn't, the color will default to a vibrant magenta.
STEP TWO: (COLOR CODES)
Type in the characters that correspond to the color you wish to use, from this list below (and these are virtually all the possible colors. The manner for how I got the codes is... egregiously roundabout). but it's all done, at least. I recommend saving this list in a text document or something.

Purple:jRte~C

Yellow:MlfeyD

Red:paPBAA

Blue:JcofvC

Green:VAI_rA

Slightly Different Green: wDLz|B

Comet:ra_naB

Miasma:UEWPPD

Trap:LnHDBA

Scouting:e{JUnB

Debuff:LOVk^A

Virtue:dVhopC

Affliction:C^^txB

Stealth:j|fNsD

CRIT:oltM`A

Miss:KPoDdC

Poison:j^ZMbD

Blight: WHyb?C

Common:S`LYqA

Uncommon:EVayHA

Rare:cetBBA

Very Rare:JjilkC

Kickstarter: LB^VPC

Darkest Grey: LgG`SD

Dark Grey: qTwwUB

Grey: QGo}_C

Light Grey: dDEbwC

These are all case sensitive, and some symbols are a bit hard to recognize, but they DO work. I've tested each and every one.
STEP THREE:
After the part you wish to be colored, type </c>. this will prevent any glitches regarding color leaking. You can actually make a name multiple different colors at once if you type:

<c>colorcode(Name)</c>you can wedge normal text between colored text<c>colorcode(Name)</c>.

KNOWN ISSUES:
-Character limit can be a problem, so I'm highly recommending using the longer names mod from steam, it virtually eliminates any issues present for single or double colored names.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2926435777

-Typing </c> without first having <c> will crash the the game. It also sometimes crashes at random, but ONLY while you are editing names.

-The color might not show up if your cursor is wedged between the color code or something.

-The ` is not a '. There's a difference between them in the color codes.

-^ and other symbols seem to have problems working? Tell me in the comments if you somehow got around this. If putting them in-game doesn't work, you can just copy the color codes into character names in the game save files.
NOTES:
-Remember that this also works for save files, same technique.
-If you know more of these color codes please post them in the comments below and I will add them to the list.
