CK3 Tweaks for Crusader Blade

Description
This CK3 mod only makes sense if you play Crusader Blade.

The tweaks are as follow:
- Unit stack sizes, levies, as well as garrisons and even the attrition taken by moving through hostile territory are reduced.
- Recruit and Upkeep Costs for all units are reduced by half to make up for the change in stack sizes.

All of these modifications lead to a far better experience in the CK3 Campaign as well as the Bannerlord battles that are made possible thanks to the Crusader Blade mod.

in #modding-general you can also find my Swadian Units mod for Crusader Blade which vastly improves how the Vlandian units look.

Battles are far more realistic and more balanced mainly due to cavalry (initially 100 stack/unit) no longer completely overpowering infantry, but ranged units also have reduced stack sizes.

The player has far more control over army composition and from what I've seen, the AI affords more units and diversifies it's army composition which leads to some potentially epic battles.

The Realistic Battle Mod (RBM) as well as RTS Camera are highly recommended to use in Bannerlord because they vastly improve battles and game play.

Good morning. I will need help with versions.

When I launch CK3, it writes: this mod (Crusader Blades) is designed for another version of the game (1.8.1).

But 1.8.1 of which game? Crusader Kings 3 or Mount and Blade 2?
On CK3, there is no 1.8.1... on the other hand, it is there on M&B2, but it doesn't work either.

Great mod!

Worth thinking about handling the special soldier stacks, e.g. the Vikings in Britain in 867 start, that are now way larger than what their opponents can field

@Cserszegi just adjust it yourself in the mod files, encountered the same issue as you but just removing a zero from the merc levy size in the mod files did the trick for me. It is freaking awesome now. The only issue now is that I cant get harmony to work with 1.0.3 of bannerlord so I cant get the larger battlesizes and without it it seems like the mod prefers to bring levies instead of archers etc.

The size of mercenary bands is too big in my opinion. I can hire 553 people for 115 gold. Smaller kingdoms don't have armies that size.

Presumably and most likely you have other MAA mods installed.
It is highly recommended that you disable them because only the vanilla unit stacks are or even can be modified in the base game files. Using any other MAA mod is not advised anyway seeing how Crusader Blade also uses the vanilla units and does not know how to spawn those extra units. Bowmen are spawn as infantry for example or infantry as cavalry. Those MAA mods are conceived for playing CK3 the conventional way without the ability to play out the battles.
