Description
Warning:
The mod has been abandoned and will no longer receive any updates. It has many compatibility issues with other mods, so please install it at your own risk if you have tons of mods.
The project was made solely for fun, I can no longer maintain it now. I recommend to stick to others mods that modify Woodie if you wish to avoid issues mentioned above for very long worlds.




Woodie with buffs n' twists here and there.


Gameplay is altered by making Sanity play a bigger role in buffing stats, and giving Wereforms access to amulets, which can branch out to many options.

Weremoose remains to be the most Defensive option, gaining stats the more hurt he is, and being able to deflect incoming Boss attacks.
Werebeaver is now an Offensive option, which rewards avoidance and caution with enormous damage and speed increase.

- Keeps Body slot item when transforming. Doesn't apply to Weapon and Hat.
- Retains all body slot item effects in wereforms.
(Notable examples: Amulets, Bramble Husk, Bone Armor, Scalemail, Rain Coat. Keep in mind, the stuff which consumes fuel will still consume fuel.)

(Armors do not lose durability nor reduce damage taken in Wereforms.)


- Can no longer spawn Treeguards. Werebeaver instead is able to spawn them.
- Poison Birchnuts still spawn for Woodie in human form.
- Equipping Lucy provides with a sanity regen of 3.33/min (like Top Hat)

- Now returns from Wereforms with some Hunger. (8 by default)
- Full Moon multiplies Wereform Damage and Movement Speed by x1.2, further increases Wereform time, and makes Werebeaver's chopping instant.
- Wereform sanity drain increased by x1.5




Weremoose:

- Is now immune to stunlock
- Base movement speed increased by a tiny bit (x0.9 -> x1)
- Has an increased attack speed (x1.3)

"Charge" has:
- Slightly shorter distance, but faster speed.
- Enormous structure damage.
- x2.5 Damage Multiplier against Boss monsters

Charging into a Boss monster now grants a very short period of invulnerability (0.45 seconds). It needs to be timed correctly, right before the Boss attacks, to take 0 damage.
(If you're familiar with Forge's "Parry" mechanic, this works in a very similar way.)


- Deals more damage the less health he has.

Werebeaver:

- Chopping down most trees also uproots stumps.
(excluding mushtrees, had troubles with that, sorry)
- Can spawn Treeguards now at a triple chance compared to most survivors. (Still depends on amount of days survived)
- Poison Birchnuts do not spawn for Werebeaver. Woodie in human form can spawn them though.
- Damage Reduction increased to 50% (old - 25%)
- Base Damage increased to 36 (old - 27.2)
- Treeguard Damage Bonus increased to 62, which is added on top of Base Damage. (old - 15)
- Has an increased attack speed (x1.3)

- Has Bloodlust mechanic, which gives a tiny multiplier to damage with every hit he makes. Fully resets upon taking damage.
1 Hit = +8% Damage Dealt, up to 25 Hits for +200% Damage.
At +200% Damage, he deals in total 170 Damage to Treeguards, and 108 Damage to everything else.

(This provides you with a choice:
Either you fight as a Beaver, with much lower defense, but humongous damage.
Or you fight as a Moose, with much higher defense, but lower damage.)


- Speed increases the less sanity he has.
The Werebeaver base speed is multiplied by the amount below.

Weregoose:

- Base speed slightly increased to x1.55
- Gains speed the more sanity he has.

Amulets:

- Life Giving Amulet regeneration speed doubled. (30sec -> 15sec)
- Chilled Amulet freeze strength dramatically increased.
- Chilled Amulet durability doubled. On hit durability damage reduced (3% -> 1%)
- Nightmare Amulet durability tripled.
- Construction Amulet lets you regenerate a tiny portion of Weremeter every time you attack or perform action in Wereforms.


- Nightmare Amulet massively increases Wereform stats:

Kitschy Idols:

- Removed Health penalty upon consumption.
- Increased Sanity penalty upon consumption. (15 -> 25)
- Weregoose Idol instead reduces health by 20, but doesn't affect sanity.

- Crafting costs increased:
Moose - 5 Monster Meat, 6 Grass, 2 Nightmare Fuel
Goose - 3 Monster Meat, 4 Seeds
Beaver - 5 Monster Meat, 8 Logs, 2 Nightmare fuel.

- Each craft now grants 3 idols, instead of 1.
- The goose gets 2 instead.
- Stack size increased to 20.

Extra note to modders: If you, by chance, would like to rewrite this mod or make something similar to this, you're fully welcome. It's an experiment I wanted to try out, and it barely holds up with my crappy 1-week coding experience.

Heya! I really appreciate your kind words and the interest you have taken in this mod.
As much as it pains me to say, this mod has become broken beyond repair after the Woodie skilltree update, it needs to be rewritten from scratch at this point.

I am very very sorry, but I do not wish to involve myself with modding anymore. However, I give everyone full permission to take code out of my mod and create anything you want with it. I have very minimal experience with lua, so the mod's code should be simple enough to work with.

Hi, I just wanted to say I was looking for this type of change to woodie for a while and I absolutely love the changes you made especially the chest slot. I'm not sure if I only use this mod and no other woodie changing mods would it still cause issues? I would really love all the changes and if not there is no problem, I understand your limited to updating it as of now. Heck if you were willing to teach me the basics to modding I would even update this mod as best I could. Anyways, if you have any info on if the mod would still work today with the skill tree added and I as I said, this being the only woodie mod I would really like to have activated.

再次提醒各位,不要订阅这个mod除非你有较强的代码能力可以自己做修复,这次版本更新后启用这个mod会导致卸下官方的亮茄盔甲时发生崩溃(原因时这个mod覆盖了一个官方的util组件):dswilson:

Sorry about that, at this point this mod needs a complete rewrite, and I have no experience in coding to properly implement compatibility across majority of mods.

The mod has been abandoned and will no longer receive updates, please install it at your own risk if you have a lot of other mods enabled.

If anyone is interested in rewriting this or making a similar mod to this, you're fully welcome, and I would actually appreciate that.

is the bug only there when insight mod is on? does it happen when playing without insight?
