Overview

Below are maps of every collectible type in each of the main game locations in Kena: Bridge Of Spirits.

New abilities are unlocked as you progress through the game, which can sometimes be used to reach previously inaccessible areas. For that reason, not all of the collectibles displayed below will be accessible when first visiting an area.

For visual clarity, these maps do not show collectibles outside of their respective zones.

After completing the game, players have the option to convert an existing save into New Game+ where the story can be replayed with previously collected items unlocked. If you prefer to finish collecting before beginning a new game, you can do so by using the warp point just before the final objective.

Finding Collectibles
Rots, hats, spirit mail, and charms can be hidden anywhere. Rots usually leave a purple glow where they are hiding, while sometimes a charm may show up inside a chest. Occasionally, easy challenges may need to be completed to reveal your prize, which can include watering crops with the rot creature, moving objects around, or hitting targets with your skills. Meditation spots may not be revealed until progressing the story to certain points, and flower shrines often require a nearby seed to be uncovered first to invoke the rot creature.

In all cases, no collectibles are missable by continuing with the story, as you will have an option to revisit any collectible area again before completing the game.

Holiday Hats
Not all hats will be unlockable during normal gameplay as some are gated behind special events and holidays and thus are not listed in this guide. While more than 60 normal hats are always available where listed below, only 50 are required for the hat collection achievement.

Ruins
8 Rots can be found in the outdoor portion of the Ruins where the player begins the game. The map of this area includes very few details, but if you need it, here you go.

As the game's central hub, the Village will be revisited often, especially after Kena learns an ability to access a new area. Spirit Mail collected during your journey can also be used to unlock and cleanse certain areas, and if you have collected any, the corresponding location it unlocks will be highlighted on your in-game map until it is accessed.

* The Trials shrine is north of the Village and some of its rewards (10 hats and 5 charms) are included in the collectible counts for this area. The shrine is marked on the maps below with a blue circle, and any collectibles found therein are indicated around it in a ring. Meeting all of the challenge criteria in the various trials will unlock new outfits, but simply passing them should be sufficient to unlock the collectibles. (Edit: This may no longer be true.) A list of Trials rewards is included at the end of this guide.

New Game+
Eagle-eyed Steam user stanio has reported a 32nd hat in the Village only available in New Game+! You can find this bonus hat near the Warrior Path when playing that game mode:

Taro's Tree is another hub area, so some collectibles are gated until after progressing the story.

As with other areas of the game, some collectibles (like the Rot on the southern island visible when first visiting this zone) are not reachable until after unlocking new abilities.

The Fields cover a large area which overlaps slightly on the north with the next zone, the Village Heart. Collectibles shown in the maps below are the ones counted for the game's tallies in the Fields, but explorers may also like to consider the next section which includes the northern areas vertically above Village Heart as well.

I concede that the maps for Village Heart have limited practical use, but hope they can still be helpful in certain situations. Please note that collectibles from the small village at the top of the well are also considered part of Village Heart despite closer proximity to the Fields.

Trial Rewards
Below is the reward list of the 10 hats and 5 charms available after completing Trials, which become available over the course of the game. Completing the bonus objectives in each tier will additionally unlock outfits for Kena. (Edit 2023-06: This may no longer be true, and the outfits may now by rewarded on completion with the hats and charms only unlocked after completing bonus objectives. Please add a comment with your experience below!)

@stanio - Thank you you for taking the time to let me know, and for providing such a helpful link! :charm: I have added a new section and map for this content above.

On NG+ there's one extra hat (Chef) in the Village (32 vs. 31) near the Warrior Path:

@Herr Glaube - Thank you for the update! Those trials were so hard! :fsad: I have stricken out those statements for now and hope other players can confirm. Thankfully the difference should not impact achievement hunters

The trials work the exact opposite of what you say. You need all bonus objectives to get charms and hats, outfits are given for just passing. And there's always some stupid little bush coming out of your blind spot and ruining your "no hit" run...

Thank you so much
