TRUCK STOP (Solo Achievement)

A solo player guide for the TRUCK STOP achievement.

Introduction

I managed to get this achievement alone by using the same method in this video for Sacrifizzle, where basically you play normally as survivor and at the end you set up a second survivor player using splitscreen through console commands. I've also made a guide for Sacrifizzle, both are also on AStats.

Steps

1) "map l4d_garage02_lots versus" in the console to load the map in versus mode, you should start as survivor.

2) Play normally as survivor until after you repower the generator, which leads to the truck being fully lowered and initiating the finale. Binding these commands makes everything overall easier:

"sv_cheats 1; warp_all_survivors_here; sv_cheats 0"

"sv_cheats 1; noclip; sv_cheats 0"

3) After repowering the generator and killing the last tank before the finale, run these commands in the console: "ss_connect" to initiate the splitscreen, and "cmd2 jointeam 2" to add the second player to the survivor team. Without the second player the match just ends if you switch teams.

4) After setting up the second player, press M to switch to the infected team.

5) After the truck is lowered and the finale theme is triggered, you should spawn as a tank, alternivately you can just run the command "sv_cheats 1; z_spawn tank; sv_cheats 0" to instantly become a tank, since the game prioritizes giving the tank role to real players.

6) The bots will try to run to the truck, you can abuse the warp bind to prevent that and go far way from the finale area with noclip to make this easier. After downing everyone the match results appear and you need to wait a few seconds until the team roles are reversed for the achievement to pop, worked flawlessly for me.

Important Note: Unfortunately some people haven't succeeded in getting it with my method, I suggest you read the comments, as some people might've gotten it in a different way.

As an alternative method from one of the comments, try not using the tank in step 5, instead try kicking some bots by using the command "kick louis" (or any other survivor) and just kill the last survivor with a regular special infected.

I'm a little late to the party here, but I've managed to get all but 1 achievement through solo/bots (with the exception of the 3 people doing the generator at the same time which there is a console command to gift you)

The other achieve is the one you have to get in versus online - the infected one. I did get that luckily enough even in 2024, there's still a couple servers running.

The issue isn't using the tank, it's that it's been spawned with cheats I believe. The other two commands, no clip and surv warp, don't break the achievements because once you have enabled it, and then run svcheats 0, the cheats aren't persistent i.e. the survs are in a location and that's it done.

When you cheat spawn tank, even though you turn off your cheat after the fact, you are still a tank and so you are a cheat tank... the tank remains part of a then persistent cheat.

i try your guide and found the problem, "cheat cmd" is disabling the achievement looks like after update, i did like what the video did and i got it.

can't seem to get the achievement. 10+ attempts and nothing works for whatever reason. i tried following the guide exactly and it didn't give me the achivement. then i tried kicking the 3 bot survivors at the end and killing the s.screen player, but no dice. finally i made sure to KILL the final survivor like @Baddu suggested (tried with smoker, hunter AND tank), but it didn't work either.

sv_cheats isn't the issue cause im still getting progress done on "The Littlest Genocide"

idk what the issue is. not here to complain, just wanted to post in case anyone knows a solution or has a similar problem. either way this guide was very helpful for getting some other achievements, so thank you @inuyasha

Hi guys. If anyone still has problems with this achievement I can confirm after countless failed attempts that the key factor is to KILL the last survivor. NOT just incap. KILL. As long as they bleed out before the result screen ends and new round begins, you will get the achievement. It doesn't matter if you play tank or other special infected. They just need to die. Completely. Hope that helps

It's easier to get the achievement by incapping the remaining one with any SI (including tank) after kicking other bots in Step 5.

before i start will have to do some digging and home work on them so im not forever at them
