Rust is a survival game created by Facepunch Studios. Inspired by games like Minecraft, and other wilderness survival games. – Rust aims to create a hostile environment in which emergent gameplay can flourish.
Rust is a multiplayer game, so there will be other players trying to survive in the same way that you are. Unfortunately for you they can find you, kill you and take your stuff. Fortunately for you – you can kill them and take their stuff. Or maybe you can make friends and help each other survive. Rust’s world is harsh – so you might need to make friends to survive.

Outpost
The Outpost is currently one of four designated safezones in the game. It resembled a small partially destroyed town. It contains all basic utilities, such as the Research Table, Workbench Level 1, Recycler, Repair Bench, Small Oil Refinery, Small Water Catcher, Barbeque and six Vending Machines. Multiple Hobo Barrels can be also be found here but cannot be used.

Features
Outpost have a lot of features that can be useful early in the wipe like:
  • You can drink water, cook some food and comfort heal.

  • You can trade stone for wood and buy metal fragments for your starter base.
If you want to expand you can even buy a jack hammer.
For example, you can buy 10k wood for just 3k stone.

  • You can buy tactical gloves if you need cloth or rope to craft sleeping bags, bows, crossbows or other items.

  • You can refine some crude oil to obtain low grade so you may craft your first furnace.
