How To Achieve PC-VR With Virtual Desktop On Quest 2 (Shadow PC)
Автор: ʚYour Mumɞ
This guide helps people be able to play Steam-VR when their computer doesn't have a graphics card to be able to connect their quest 2. I recently found out how to do this, and it works perfectly.

We will use Virtual Desktop and Shadow. Virtual Desktop is $19.99 (USD), and you'll need to pay monthly for shadow which is $29.99 (USD).
You'll need Virtual Desktop on your Quest 2, not on Steam. And if you don't have a computer that can run shadow, you can use a phone or iPad to launch it.

Part 1: Buying Virtual Desktop On Your Quest 2
Virtual Desktop is a wireless software that helps you connect to your computer. Especially SteamVR. You can buy it on the Oculus App, on your headset, or by clicking this link : https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/2017050365004772/

Part 2: Subscribing to Shadow
After you have Virtual Desktop, you'll need Shadow. You can subscribe to them here: https://eu.shadow.tech/shop/en-US/catalog

After you buy it, you'll need to wait for your Shadow Cloud PC for an hour. After an hour it should work. When you launch Shadow, it'll look just like a Windows PC. Here are the stuff you'll need to download to have a fun PC-VR VRChat Experience!
- Steam
- SteamVR
- VRChat
- Soundpad ($3.99 or $4.99)
- OVR Advanced Settings
- OVR Toolkit ($10.79 or $11.99)

I've noticed Shadow takes up some battery of the device you're using so be sure to keep it charged while you are using Shadow. You can't turn off the device you using or else VRChat will lag, and Virtual Desktop will crash. You can leave the device you're using alone while you are playing VR. But be sure to leave the device on, or else it will not work.

Part 3: Downloading Virtual Desktop Streamer
On your Shadow Cloud PC, you'll need Virtual Desktop Streamer, you can get virtual desktop streamer by clicking this link: https://www.vrdesktop.net/

Once it is downloaded, put in your Oculus Quest 2 username under Meta Username(s) and click save. Go on your VR headset, open up Virtual Desktop and you'll most likely see that device pop up. Click the device that pops up, and you are connected!
Part 4: Opening up Steamvr
Once you have downloaded VRChat & Steamvr, you can open up Steamvr then open up VRChat. It shouldn't be laggy, but if it is comment down below and I'll respond when I can. You can also send me a friend request and I will try to get back to you as soon as I can.

You can open up the Steamvr menu on the left controller, towards the bottom there should be a button like the Oculus button but with three lines. Press that to open up the Steamvr menu.

I hope you have a fun PC-VR experience and enjoy it while it lasts!
