Some Tips For Using Whips

This is a simple guide I made that will be showing you 3 tips and tricks on using whips in Rec Room!

Intro

Have you ever found yourself struggling to use a Whip in Rec Room, weather that be UGC rooms or quests? Well look no further, as I have three simple tips and tricks on using whips in Rec Room!

"Uhh... I'm new to Rec Room... what's a whip?"

A whip is one of the best and most effective weapons you can use in Crescendo. This weapon can also be seen in several PVP rooms.

"What's a Crescendo?"

A Crescendo is a gradual increase, especially in the loudness of music the most recent quest made by Rec Room. Although, this quest isn't available on the Oculus/Meta Quest 1/2 and smartphones for performance reasons. The quest takes on a Halloween/horror theme, and is known for being the longest quest of the five.

Anyway, lets get onto the guide!

Tip 1: Flick Your Wrist

Using/flicking your wrist when using the whip can improve accuracy and reduce energy. It will also help deal stronger damage to enemies with more critical attacks.

Now when using your arm with the Whip, we can see that accuracy and damage is greatly reduced due to you swinging your arm. It may also use more of your energy.

Tip 2: Don't... Do This

Please, just don't do this.

• It does less damage than just using the whip normally
  
• You have a greater risk of getting hit since you're so close to the enemy
  
• It looks dumb

Tip 3: Keep Your Distance

It's good to keep your distance from enemies since you'll be able to deal greater damage and be at lower risk of getting hit.

As you can see here, the player is at a close proximity to the target. Right now, they would be doing less damage to the enemy (as seen by the gray effect) and would be at greater risk of getting hit due to them being closer.

Now, the player is further away from the enemy. They are currently dealing more damage to the enemy (as seen by the red effect) and would be at a lower risk of getting hit since they're further away.

Although, you shouldn't go too far away, since the whips have a limited range at which they can be used.
