This mod adds in player origins (or backgrounds), which allow you to start a new player off with different max life, mana, items, or even world changes like a different spawn.
These are all accessible by default through the character creation screen; a little button next to the player name switches the menu to player origin mode.
From then on, choose whichever background you like and enjoy!

There are also a bunch of unlockable origins - play more to discover how to unlock these.

You must first beat the Moon Lord with a character with an origin, then you unlock the Custom origin. I think.

how do i make a custom origin? i saw the trailer for this mod saying that i could make a custom origin.

How do I see the menu? When creating a character, clicking the highlighted "Click here to open New Beginning's Menu" isn't doing anything.

Dunno if it's intended for the Confused, but while gear that improves Magic damage for Ranged weapons works, effects that trigger off Magic damage/attacks do not. I could kind of see why, for... balance? Maybe?... but I was really hoping to see what wackyness would ensue with this, or maybe with Melee effects on spells, etc. Ridiculous new builds.

@GabeHasWon from what i know the game tries to spawn him in initially, even shows the notification that the guide moved in but, not once did he actually appear.

Liked the sound of the "confused" start but don't quite understand how exactly it effects things (not sure if it is actually effecting things or not). Could need a little explinationing.
