Description
Tainted lost in his current state is, inconsistent, to say the least. Despite most defensive items like dead cat and holy mantle being unobtainable to him, some incredibly powerful defensive items like book of shadows and glowing hourglass have seemingly slipped through the cracks, creating a huge disparity in the survivability of runs where you get these items and runs where you don't. You can go a whole run without seeing a holy card and then get killed by an enemy that spawned on top of you or by accidentally running into a blood donation machine while backtracking. This mod aims to solve that.

Everything in this mod is fully customizable to suit you preferred playstyle! Each feature can be toggled and some have even more in depth customization depending on your preference. If think something is for "skill issues" then you can disable it as you wish. With that out the way, lets get into the core features offered.

FEATURES:
Defensive Item Removal
As mentioned before, nearly all leftover defensive items have been removed, including book of shadows, glowing hourglass, and blank card. Some few items have been left out, notably book of virtues and lemegeton, because I believe they have a lot more to them than just being for defense, and removing them wouldn't give them the justice they deserve. Of course, you can disable the removal of these items in settings, though if you plan on using the rest of the beneficial features, then know it may be a bit unbalanced. Now Tainted Lost can stay as the glass cannon he was always meant to be.

Unavoidable Damage
Seemingly the worst part of this character. No one wants to lose a godly run because of an enemy unfairly spawning on top of you. Now, tainted lost will gain a small moment of invincibility whenever you enter a room, start a new greed wave, or start a new challenge room wave. This basically removes some of the worst offenders for unfairly dying, and leaves you fate fully in the hands of your skill. The amount of time you're invincible for is at 0.7s by default, but this can be adjusted with mcm along with which characters you want to be invincible. (You can avoid unfair damage as everyone if you want!)

Insta-Death Machines
There's really no reason for things like blood donation machines and devil beggars to show up when all they do is kill you instantly (except for Edmund trolling you). If you want, these will be replaced by more appropriate alternatives, such as blood donos becoming regular slot machines and devil beggars regular beggars. Of course if you have the heart tokens mod you might want to turn this one off.

Spiked and Mimic Chests
These are here purely to taunt you knowing full well you cant open them. Now they will be replaced with haunted chests which still provide a challenge while actually being openable. You can configure them to change into regular chests or nothing at all if you're afraid of ghosts of course.

Mega Troll Bombs and Spike Rocks
Ok I just personally hate mega bombs and if you have a slow tear stat or ipecac they're actually guaranteed damage so you can chose to have these turn into regular troll bombs instead. You can also chose to have spike rocks turn into bomb rocks if you hate those too.

More Holy Cards?
Tinted rocks, which are usually a very important part of any character, end up being pretty useless as tLost. With all useless items being removed as him, why should game mechanics be left useless too? With how rare and unreliable holy cards are, we've made it so tinted rocks now have a (customizable) 10% chance to drop a holy card when bombed. This provides a bit more player agency to staying alive and brings back a core gameplay mechanic to the character.

Eternal Hearts and Rainbow Poop!
Continuing the trend of things useful to other characters but not to tLost comes these two mechanics. Now when picking up an eternal heart or breaking a rainbow poop as tainted lost, you'll gain a one time (unstackable) holy mantle effect. The poop bonus is just because I think it'd be fun and they're so rare that it probably wont make too much of a difference in the run anyway, but the eternal hearts new usefulness provides a new balance to the game. With devil deals being free as tLost, you almost always want to take them for their powerful items. Now, if you chose to go angel deals, you can grab the key pieces for an increased eternal heart spawn rate, rewarding you for your patience with some optional extra survivability.

Wooden Cross
This is a pretty popular one in other mods, so I've thrown it in just for fun. Disabled by default, you can now chose to start a tainted lost run with a gulped or ungulped wooden cross trinket if you want a more fun and less stressful time.

Hello, it seems like spiked chests keep spawning normally. I don't have haunted chests unlocked so I set it to turn all chests normal yet the spiked ones keep spawning.

Forgot I could just check the code to see which items are removed.
I would argue that Lost Contact should be added to the blacklist, because it's a pure defensive item unlike Bird's Eye and Ghost Pepper.

You cheated not only the game, but yourself. You didn't grow. You didn't improve. You took a shortcut and gained nothing. You experienced a hollow victory. Nothing was risked and nothing was gained. It's sad that you don't know the difference. sounding ass

"No one wants to lose a godly run because of an enemy unfairly spawning on top of you."

...The game is hard-coded to not allow that to happen. It literally can't. They will instead spawn next to you, or they won't spawn at all, and wait for you to move (downpour zombies).

tboi players like to complain about things that can't happen

@luciolencer well personally i dont think a character that requires you to get 1 or 2 specific random items out of 800 to have a chance at winning is very well designed so I changed it to be more fair without them being available at all. It might make it a lot more easier to play with them still appearing and the other buffs on top, but whatever floats your boat.

honestly removing the defensive items doesnt make tlost more interesting, more like more frustrating. theres no way to beat mother without something broken like 4.5 volt and book of shadows, im glad its an adjustable option, so everything else makes tlost more bearable and fun
