Improved upon the material properties of the metal slightly, this now makes it better than adamantine and platinum in the areas they dominated.

Dwarfium blunt weapons are better than platinum blunt weapons and sharp weapons were already better than adamantine since the density was taken from platinum, but now even more so since density was increased a little beyond that of platinum.

Dwarfium bolts are better than platinum bolts due to density, but I don't know if even strange moods could craft a stack of platinum bolts.

In regards to armor, dwarfium is better than adamantine, but much heavier. Might want to save some adamantine armor for your marksdwarfs.

Also, dwarfium unlike adamantine, can not be used to create clothes, this is just a design choice, since having clothes with above platinum density doesn't make much sense. It would just slow the fort to a crawl, so I don't think many players would use it that way anyway.
