in this guide i will explain how to play d class in scp: secret laboratory

what is a class d?
class d is the prisoner of the foundation, used as expendable resources by them for tests. all you need to know going into this is that you start with nothing, and are essentially enemies with everyone (more on that later). trust only other d-bois for now
how to play it
so, you start in light containment zone (LCZ) in a cellblock with the door code CD-01 or something. when you begin, exit your cell (E) and run to the end of the corridor, where you will be greeted with typically an X-type intersection (there is 3 other ways you can go)

your aim, as of now, is to escape LCZ as fast as you can. at this point in time, you are essentially racing to get loot before your other d-boi comrades. if a server has TK on, it is typically allowed for d-class on d-class, so guns are fair game. you want to look for medkits, adrenaline, guns, or keycards as well as various other items including torches or scp items etc.

these items are typically located within lockers, but can be found loose within certain rooms. the rooms you are looking for are: PC-## rooms, TC-01, GR-18, VT-##, PT-01, 00-##, #9-14, WC-00 and in certain cases AL-##. (codes are from memory so may not be 100% correct)

PC-##
these are rooms that wouldve been used by foundation researchers and are full of computers and desks. upon entering, immediately on your left may be a set of lockers or a medkit container. going to the end of the room may also contain a medkit container or an scp item. finally, there is a chance you can find keycards on the desks.

TC-01
TC-01 is the 2 rooms that contain the candy scps. upon entering, you are greeted with two doors, one of which has a keycard slot. on your left may also be lockers or medkit containers. by entering the keycard room, you may find a gun on the desk and a zone manager keycard on a stack of paper. (these are the keycards you can use to escape LCZ and HCZ). there is a computer, and by interacting with the screen you can open the other door, containing the candy. ONLY TAKE 2, AS MORE WILL KILL YOU. also be careful as someone could lock you in the room whilst you're in there.

GR-18
this is the room where a big glass container is found, which can have a gun in it. lockers can be found on the left past the heavy door, or a handgun can be found on the far shelf on the left.

VT-##
these are vegetation rooms, and by goign through them a door will be on your left, which may contain lockers or scp items. by throeing an item at the glass, you can break it, and enter the vegetation area. a keycard can be found here, as can an scp item.

PT-01
this is peanut (scp-173)'s containment chamber, and is at the top of a long spiralling staircase. by going up, a door will be found on your left, with an scp item and a possible gun spawn. continuing on, entering the heavy door will access 173's ante-chamber thing where lockers can be found. be careful tho because if 173 spawns that round he will snap your neck up there.

#9-14
this is SCP-914's containment (the clockwork machine), and probably the most useful room in the game. going here and setting the knob thing to fine and going in will allow you to drop your stuff and upgrade it, allowing you to turn keycards into O5s and handguns into assault rifles etc.

WC-00
WC-00 is the toilets, and there is a male n female section. each of these have a chance of a handgun or janitor class keycard spawning there.

AL-##
AL-## are airlock rooms, in lore used to escape mostly 173 i think. scp items can be found in here.
aim (read after the "how to play" section)
so now that you have a keycard, either the zone manager or one upgraded to O5 by 914, you can enter HCZ. watch out for the various teams here, which i will explain in the next section. more loot can be found in HCZ, majorly the many armories which can be found by themselves or within places like SCP-049's containment etc. if you already have weapons from LCZ, and an O5, you can basically skip this, and try to locate the entrance zone. be careful, however, as by this point MTF may have spawned, and they come through entrance. if you hear the MTF announcement, hide.

ok, great, you've found one of the two entrance zone checkpoints, and you're in EZ. you are looking for either of the two gates that access the surface: gate A or gate B, but preferably B. by accessing surface, your last aim is to get to the escape zone, liberating you and making you join the ranks of the chaos insurgency. if you exit via the elevator in gate A, you have to go further. gate A is next to the chaos insurgency spawn however (good for you), so if they spawn they can cover you. yuo must run down the stairs to the road, then past the nuke room and through the massive heavy door on the road, and up the ramp. as you run towards the ramp, there is a raised pathway on your left - this is the gate B elevator (if you have gone from gate B follow from here). run towards where the ramp flattens out, which is where the MTF helicopter land when MTF are spawning. run all the way to the end, then turn left - the home stretch.

finally, run through the two door, and down the gated ramp. at the end of this ramp, if you have not been cuffed, you will escape, respawning as the newest member of the chaos insurgency. if you have been cuffed, you will join the ranks of the mobile task force. from this point you join your comrades.
who are you allied with?
this can very from server to server based on whether TK is on or not, but by default, you are mostly allied with other d-bois - strength in numbers. by completing the steps of this guide with more manpower you will have a greater chance of escape, and respawning as CI will be much easier.

next, you are always allied with the chaos insurgency. these are your main comrades, and they will do their best to protect and escort you to the escape zone. they are armoured, armed and have great keycards, so stick with them.

next, we have SCPs. certain servers prohibit teaming with them, but you could in theory team with them and let them help you escape, as the CI can choose to be teamed with the SCPs, and this would benefit both teams.

finally, the foundation. your biggest threat are facility guards and MTF. guards have the biggest power complexes known to man, and not many are willing to go through the effort of cuffing you and helping you escape, as you only act as a liability to them. you will most likely be KOS by MTF and guards, so it is in your best interest to hide, run or kill guards on sight. if you see a whole squad of MTF don't try it. hide - they were spectators and know where you were.

scientists can prove to be allies initially. both of you spawning in light, they are essentially d-bois with a better start in life - they begin with a scientist keycard and a medkit. however, trying to escape with them is not recommended, as they will turn on you at the first chance they get and either kill you or cuff you. admittedly, being cuffed isn't the end of the world, as escaping will cause you both to turn into MTF, but if you run into guards they will probably shoot you on sight n just focus on the scientist.
