[EN] How to setup game +mods +shaders

Hello, this guide may help you setup this game!

If you new player this guide probably will help you :)
What we will do in this guide:

• Its install Content Manager that will help you install mods(csp etc.)
  
• Setup Content Manager
  
• Install some mods/shaders/pp filter
  
• install SOL mod that will give you rain[NOT FREE] - 1$ needed
  
• install Some trackmaps / car mods
  
• etc.

ALSO this rework of my old guide that I made almost 1 year ago!

Starting with Installing Content Manager

So you download the file what's next?
First its unpack "Content Manager.exe" anywhere but better in "Desktop"
After open the file.*After this you need start game with this file make shortcut in steam or taskbar*
You will see installation(choose your account, and press install what he offer you)
That's maybe all about installation.

Setting up "CM"

YOU OPEN CONTENT MANAGER YOU WILL SEE SMTH LIKE THIS:

Navigation :
On the top you will find "SETTINGS"
here you can choose solo/online/your demos/setting etc.

Click on "Settings"
You will see

• content manager settings ( settings for this menu)
  
• assetto corsa (game settings : camera , graphics etc)
  
• custom shader patch a.k.a csp (this mod will give more settings than default game)

Content Manager Setup

You dont need touch anything but this what you should to change :
AT DRIVE :
you can change youre nickname country.
Language and Regional
you can change language.
About content manager settings that's all :)

Setting up "Assetto corsa"

Press Assetto Corsa in the settings

BY THE LIST:
APPS

APP WINDOWS DONT TOUCH

VIDEO : Its just graphic settings choose by your PC specs :)

ViewAnd UI you can change Units(mph/kph)

Audio setup for your comfort :)
(this all custom so without screenshots)

Controls !ALSO CUSTOM

Miscellaneous :
here you can change in game language(yes assetto corsa and CM have different settings for this)
Exposure : better setup after you install filter

System I'll just show you my settings here, but you can choose your options.

Chase Camera we will set up later

Damage Displayer / Fanatec / Presets Per Mode, You don't need

That all about setting up game(almost)

Download CSP!

In the "SETTINGS"
press "CUSTOM SHADER PATCH"
And press Install, after the installation you will see this:
choose recommended version!
Without this some mods can't work correctly

Downloading + Installing mods

Lets start with car mod

!dont unpack zip file*
So in "Content Manager" press:
Press Install everywhere!
So take zip file and move to CM
after this again press this 3 lines
and you will see smth like this:
just press "Install" and done
choose your car here:

TRACK MODS INSTALLING THE SAME WAY!

Installing Shader/Filter/SOL/

We will start with "shaders"

go to this link : HORIZON SHADER[www.racedepartment.com]
download this,put ZIP file at "Content Manager" and press "install"
GO TO:
SETTINGS -> ASSETTO CORSA -> VIDEO
You will see "Filter" Choose your own filter(if you have) or Horizon Shades
At the bottom you will see this:
choose "HORIZON SHADES" OR "HORIZON SHADES HIGH"
After this go to:
SETTINGS -> CUSTOM SHADERS PATCH -> GENERAL PATCH SETTINGS
At the bottom right again choose horizon shades but after this well make custom preset *Later

If you download better filter somewhere just change him at the video settings!

SOL

DOWNLOAD SOL HERE[www.racedepartment.com]
for rain you need to pay (1$-more) at patreon

If you donate 1$ you can download "Light Patch" drop him in content manager press "install" and that's all

Download SOL drop to CM > press "Install"
after this go to "Settings > Custom Shader Patch > Weather FX"
At the control script choose "SOL 2.x" and "SOL"

Before start the race choose at weather "sol > rain or heavy rain"

Now you have rain =)

FPS Camera Setup + Chaser Camera Setup

FPS Camera:

Open settings > View and UI

Change FOV better choose from 46 to 55 degrees *

After.Go to Custom Shaders Patch > Neck FX

And activate it

Just activate this dont touch other parameters !
Done!

Chaser Camera

before setup it in assetto corsa settings go to
Custom shaders patch > Chaser Camera . And activate it
Choose "Script Used" (better choose Arcade 2.0)
After this go to asetto corsa settings > chaser camera
if you choose Arcade 2.0 you can copy my settings

Developer Guide

HOW TO (Custom Shaders Patch 0.1.60 or above required)​
1. Extract the archive to Assetto Corsa's root folder.
2. Enable "D Extra" in Content Manager -> Settings -> Assetto Corsa -> Apps -> Activated apps.
3. Activate "D Extra" from the sidebar in game.

Nope Author of Sol explicitly states that you should manually install it and please for the love of god don't recommend installing reshade. The only thing it does is mess with your game. A good ppfilter can do so much more for the game looks without causing any problems
