Transfer PC save to Android

Guide on how to transfer your save from PC to an Android version.

Locate your save file on Windows

Depending on how long ago you've played VS on PC your save file may be on two places:

• You've played recently:
  
  • Look for a file titled SaveData
    

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<your Steam ID>\1794680\remote

  
  
• You've played some time ago:
  
  • Look for a file titled SaveData.sav
    

  C:\Users\%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Vampire_Survivors\saves

  • you can copy & paste this path
    
  • However I'd suggest to backup the save (copy the save somewhere outside the game directory), check game is updated and open it. After that you should copy the save from the first path in this guide.
    

Copy the file to Android

Copy the SaveData file to your phone (via USB, cloud, email...)

1. Move the PC save to:
   

   /Android/data/com.poncle.vampiresurvivors/files

   • You might need a file explorer like Total Commander to access this directory
   
   
2. Delete the original SaveDataUnity.sav in said directory
   
   • Just to be sure you should delete even the SaveDataUnity.bak.sav
   
   
3. Rename the PC save to SaveDataUnity.sav

I've repeated multiple times and reinstalled multiple times aswell. I used multiple file managers and all of them will either literally not show com.poncle or will show but won't allow entry.

I have tried doing all of it on PC and in the end I do see the file SaveDataUnity(.sav) and when I launch the game literally nothing changes.
I am so pissed off cus everyone manages to do it and I don't and I got no clue why.

For those who are still wondering where to find the savegame on Android, use the app "Files" by "Marc apps & software". With it, you don't need to have jailbreak or any other type of unlock on your phone. In it, you can access folders blocked by Google Files and blocked with Android 13 and later. From there, you will have access to the save folder in Android/Data/com.poncle.vampiresurvive/files

Hey, i have a bug. When i level up after picking up the weapon i want, my game just stops. Weapon choose do not disappear but the game continues. After 2 minutes i got killed(

More info, in Linux / SteamDeck the file save file is in home/deck/.local/share/Steam/userdata/<your-steam-id>/1794680/remote and here you can find the SaveData file.

Tip: Use Decky with the decky-cloud-save plugin to automatically back up that file to the cloud and in your found use FolderSync to automatically download it. I haven't managed to rename it automatically yet but I'm working on it.

Thanks! Now I don't have to start from scratch on my phone. Anyone have a guide for iOS? Some of my co-workers also got hooked and play between and iPad and iPhone and got bummed that they can't transfer saves.
