Ulf's Ashlands Fishing Guide

Simple fishing guide that includes the latest Ashlands fish done in the theme of previous guides from Stardew Valley. Hey it works!

Shows which Biome or Biomes specific fish may be caught in and what bait to use to catch the corresponding fish.

After purchasing the pink bait from Haldor, you can mix it with the matching trophy in the Cauldron to make that bait.

Oops, I didn't realize Puffer fish actually DO give more raw fish than normal. My bad! Even so, the lower tier fish like those found in the Swamp or Black Forest or even Plains are no better than Meadows fish.

Water in the Mountains must be exceedingly rare. I've been to a lot of mountains, and never once saw any water, not even in the caves (though I have seen free fishing rods in them a few times).

As an aside, I personally think it's kind of dumb you can only catch Ocean fish with bait from Serpent trophies, given the lengths one must go through to find them. It's also odd that, aside from Angler having a unique recipe, none of the other fish I've caught are any better than simple Meadows fish. I mean, why have an additional cost and higher risk if it's the same quantity?

By the way, rant aside, Puffer fish can sometimes be found in the Ocean, even with no Mistlands anywhere nearby.

I am asking for a friend. Are the Magma fish fixed or are they bugy?

@Lil' dojd Magma fish are still a little glitchy. They do not eat well when there is a bonemaw around, they do not eat well when there is a fire storm and I've seen an entire group of 8 magma fish never bite after 30 minutes. Just mark the spot and go find another. My trick: Find one of those spires in the ocean close to shore where there are magma around, build a shack w/ portal on it and then destroy the bench so they can respawn. I've had luck doing that.

Hey guys, how to catch magma fish? Im in Ashlands... tryin to catch it, spend 20 minutes with hot fishing bait but this fish just ignore it, nere tries it... but i can see its playin around. jumping etc. what to do?

Question: Where are Ashlands Magma Fish?
Answer: They are found in the ocean near inlets or bays with Bonemaw or the rare Ashlands river.
