Description
Mod is no longer necessary as of 1.7! Paradox has implemented guarantees of independence so I will no longer be maintaining or working on this project for the time being. The files are usable as a resource for others that wish to use them!




Adds a diplomatic action that allows you to request a country to guarantee your independence!

Mainly meant for multiplayer use, ai will accept but will never request a guarantee, uses similar but slightly tweaked ai acceptance from requesting to become a protectorate.

Whats different about a guarantee? A guaranteed nation will always have the guaranteeing nation as a backer in defensive diplomatic plays! This does not function as a subject nor does it require the requesting state to back the guarantor like a defensive pact would, think of it like a one way defensive pact!

The AI seems to not be able to maintain the guarantee as they keep on revoking and then requesting again. Please look into

Maybe is just a way of "if somebody touches my big guy i will fight too!"
He is too big or strong to accept an alliance with a weaker nation, but a weaker nation can see into support a big guy just to face other bigger guy who maybe is a threat.

Nice mod, but...I don't think less powerful country should be able to guarantee a more powerful one, or higher rank one.
