Unrad Grimbeard and Excavators

Teeth gritted in concentration, Unrad Grimbeard squinted through the darkness in an attempt to determine a line of firm footing. The slender path through this underground cavern was perilous indeed. A yawning chasm fell away to their left and a simple wrong step would spell the end of any of his companions.

The atmosphere pervading his band of miners was one of anticipation and tension as they too felt the overbearing darkness press in around them.

"Soon now, lads" Grimbeard said, adressing no-one in particular. "Best press on. We've a job to do".

This mod adds the Legendary Hero 'Unrad Grimbeard', a unit called 'Excavators' and a RoR version called 'Unrad's Excavators'.

• Unrad Grimbeard - A veteran miner and a demolition expert, Unrad Grimbeard travels the length of the Worlds Edge Mountains forever on the lookout for precious minerals to mine and filthy Thaggoraki to blow up.
  + Special Ranged Attack - Unrad throws bombs
  + Sore Loser - If Unrad Grimbeard cannot win then no one will! Nearing death, Unrad activates his remaining bombs and will take himself and everyone around him to the afterlife through a fiery explosion!
  + Unbreakable -
  - Rampage
  
  
• Excavators - A specialised form of miner unit whose skills have been frequently honed in the long running skirmishes with Orcs, Goblins and mainly Skaven. They wear heavy armour and armed with double-handed picks.
  + Heavily Armoured
  + Armour Piercing
  + Wallbreaker
  
  
• Unrad's Excavators - Unrad Grimbeard's company of veteran Excavators.
  + Heavily Armoured
  + Armour Piercing
  + Wallbreaker
  + Special Ranged Attack

Unrad Grimbeard spawns at the beginning of the campaign for Karaz-a-Karak.

Excavators are recruited from the main building, Dwarf Keep, at tier 3 and above and receive all appropriate buffs from Lords, Heroes and tech-trees.

Unrad's Excavators are added to the RoR pool.

Was first mentioned in Citadel Journal #19 as an unofficial unit, so not really canon but still loreful in my opinion.

Version 2 - Most issues have been fixed in preperation for the compilation, including updated arts, etc.


Further balancing, perhaps a few unique abilities, we'll see.
