  • This is remake of one of my first posted crafts in WS - Hungarian Dump truck based on a traktor.

Some history

In 1954, the Krasnaya Zvezda Tractor Factory (Vörös Csillag Traktorgyár) in Budapest began producing DR-50 dumpers based on a wheeled tractor. The first 1600 cars left the assembly shop. The Krasnaya Zvezda Tractor Plant left the Budapest branch of the Anglo-Austro-Hungarian Hofherr Schrantz-Clayton Shuttleworth AG (HSCS) nationalized in 1948. He was also known as "Dutra" (Dutra - dumper and tractor). The goal was to create a light, inexpensive and mass produced, simple, undemanding utility vehicle that could meet the needs of reconstruction after the World War.

The DR-50 dump truck was produced from 1956 to 1961. The car was equipped with a Steyr licensed diesel engine (WD413) - Csepel D413 with a capacity of 60 hp. With. and a working volume of 5322 cubic meters. see Rigid rear axle, power unit and independent front axle form the chassis as a whole, that is, there is no frame as such. Through a double-disk dry clutch, power was directed from the engine through a four-speed gearbox with a reduction row for off-road driving to the rear axle. It was equipped with a reverse gear, so the car moved in the opposite direction at 4 speeds with the same maximum speed of 34 km / h. The pivoting arms of the wheels are supported by a transverse leaf spring.

The dump truck had no cab. It had a steering column with two parallel steering wheels and two connected foot levers, the seat was full swivel. Thus, turning the car became unnecessary, because the driver could easily change his own position. The dump truck body had a volume of 3.5 m3 and was emptied under the weight of the load after the lock was released. The body lowered and locked again after a short stroke and heavy braking, thereby setting the body into the transport position. The permissible payload was 6 tons.
A further development was the DR-50C type, which was equipped with a hydraulic body lift to ensure complete emptying. In 1961, the production of a version of the DR-50D dump truck with a driver's cab began, which caused the abandonment of the second steering wheel and, accordingly, the pedal assembly.
In this form, the tractor was produced until 1973

i don't like it... I LOVE IT its small and fast and surprisingly durable because i smacked into a pole with vehicle damage on and it doesn't break.
