GF English Patch (Use Anime Armada instead)

Description
Important, please read:
This particular patch is considered abandoned, and will NOT continue to receive updates. If you still have this installed, you should uninstall it.

However, the patch for the Girls' Frontline mod still lives on in the much more up-to-date mod:
Anime Armada - English Patch Central.

That mod (Anime Armada) is a collection of English patches I've made for various anime mods for CK3, and fully includes support for the Girls' Frontline mod. You don't need to use all of the mods listed there for it to work, so there isn't any downside to choosing it over this singular patch.

As for the why, well, it's just much easier for me to have one large collection of my patches in one place. As a side bonus for you, that also does means you don't need to load and sort an English patch for every anime mod you might want to use. So good for everyone all around!

The only thing I will miss is how awesome the cover art for this one looks...

Now then, what follows is the original description of this Workshop page...

This is an English Patch for the following mod:

This translation patch is compatible with 1.9

It was done via Machine Translation (GPT 4), and then cleaned up by hand.

It is said that in the distant past, humanity created the humanoid Dolls to serve the rich and powerful. These Dolls would go on to help advance society as their use saw widespread adoption across various sectors. However, humanity has always had a storied past of waging wars for as long as it had existed. And this technology would only facilitate it, not eliminate it, as some had hoped.

Dolls were eventually outfitted, equipped, and manufactured for the sole purpose of being used in armed conflicts. These would come to be known as 'T-Dolls' (short for 'Tactical Dolls'), and both sides of the conflict would create their own. It wouldn't be much thereafter until both sides destroyed one another with the T-Dolls, burying their civilization, and technology, with them.

Decades later...
An expedition has been sponsored by a fellow known as An Lushan, a Jiedushi of Fanyang. The expedition team, led by Shi Chaoyi, make their way across the sea for new lands when they unintentionally rediscover a long-deserted island. Unassuming at a casual glance, a hatch is found within the ruins of some sort of town. The team decides to venture in, their sense of adventure leading them ever forward past the years of decay and cobwebs lining the place.

It's here that the group eventually finds themselves within some sort of archive, detailing numerous events, history, and revealing the name of the island; Beilan Island. However, the most tremendous discovery of all would be what lay in a dark corner of the room... A lone T-Doll, potentially dormant for decades, waiting for someone to find her.

History had a knack for repeating itself, and this discovery led to the use of T-Dolls in warfare once more. With their new Doll in hand, An and Shi would lead the Anshi Rebellion against the Tang Empire, bringing it to their knees as their Doll decimated her every enemy. No human could hope to compare, let alone match.

The Tang Empire, desperate to resist, would fuel the search and recovery of their own T-Dolls, igniting a new arms race as both sides sought to one-up the other. The ensuing conflict would see both sides suffer heavy casualties, but the Tang would ultimately win. Henceforth, they would ban the possession and creation of T-Dolls in an attempt to stop a similar power struggle from happening again, but the invasion of the Tibetan Empire would quash these attempts.

It wouldn't be long until the T-Dolls began to proliferate to every corner of the world once more. From the Arabs to Byzantine, through the Silk Road and beyond, the T-Dolls were once more a part of the greater world stage.

It was in all of this that an entirely new force would emerge; Griffin, a self-proclaimed 'security contractor' with a focus around the T-Dolls. For one reason or another, they have sent you your very own T-Doll.

And the world's clock churned once more...

It doesn't bother me i just found it weird as most of the time the english/British flag is used for english since they're the inventors. It's like using the Belgian flag for french. It's just unexpected is all

@ObiWanShinobi
Because I'm American and am biased towards using American iconography for visual cues and shorthand. No deeper meaning to it than that, and not even something I thought about.

If it honestly bothers you that much, let me know and I'll add (US) in front of 'English' to the title to make it super clear that the English found inside will mainly draw from American dialect and culture in the process of the translation.
