L4D LAN TUTORIAL

A tutorial on how to set-up a LAN lobby in L4D.

ENABLE CONSOLE COMMANDS

To enable console commands, go to:

options > keyboard/mouse > allow developer console "enabled"

HOST PLAYER

Open the console with [~] and type in without "quotes":

"net_start" [enter, remember the IP shown]
"sv_lan 1" [enter]
"sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0" [enter]
"map (map console command here)" [enter]

OTHER PLAYERS

Open the console with [~] and type in without "quotes":

"connect (IP you remembered)"

CHOOSING SURVIVOR

Open the console with [~] and type in without "quotes":

"spectate" [enter]
"jointeam 2 (name of bot/survivor)" [enter]
