Still thanks for the link.
Though my point was about a 3rd+ beam to remain true to binary combination.
Still looking fun, might break the game later
If you have any dissatisfaction with the numerical design of this mod, you can take a look at this:
https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/2881872234/3714936444637384558/
DMG(LV1)=1 + 1.25 + 1.25^2 + ... + 1.25^n-1
meaning merging 8 beams gets you:
sum x->[1:n](1.25^(x-1)) which is
1 + 1.25 + 1.953125 + 2.44140625 + 3.0517578125 + 3.814697265625 + 4.76837158203125 + 5.9604644775390625
resulting in a force multiplier of 24.2398..
and it gets worse the more beams you add.
a single merge with diminishing returns for multi merge to encorage the same binary merging system of the game would be more sensible.
but it's not my mod so who cares what I say, this looks like a fun mod for enjoying the power of beams.
I will try to fix this problem
Because this is just a visual effect
I'm sitting over here with a beam larger than my ship, and it's still hitting only one block at a time
