- I liked when it started using granades but it didn't last for long
- The last jump went way less smooth than it looked, it was already hard to find the right angle for the sync, which I couldn't do without cl_showpos 1 the timing was still too strict for me and I just couldn't do that sync jump twice. I may finish the jump in the future but it wasn't too fun for me personally.
- The bonus parkour at the top of the map was pretty cool, I liked it even though it suffered from the same impreciseness as course 1 and sadly there was no reward for reaching the top…
I wish there were more prolonged jumps that made you fly really fast like in course 2 but didn't have to limit you like the others.
It was fun overall. Thank you for the experience!
- Jump 2 was just like in pyromaniac but I like the fact you took the concept further with jump 3, 4 and 5
- In jump 6 the rocket rate wasn't fast enough, it took me a while to realize I need to reflect 2 rockets in the ramp with 1 airblast, otherwise I don't know how to complete it using only 1 rocket at a time without the detonator.
- Jump 8's mechanic of reflecting a rocket to a moving square wasn't fun, because you're not controlling the rocket timing and it feels like a bother, I would rather have it static or switch to my shotgun\flare gun mid jump and shoot it (even better – make a low hp bot that you kill with the reflect instead).
Here are my thoughts:
(steam limits message length so I'm writing it in 3 parts)
- The spawn orientation is weird, every time you fail it makes you look at the side (where the jump number is) rather than at the front of the current jump.
- Course 1 did not leave much impression on me, it was like in jump_pyromaniac but with some extras, I liked the little platforms that sticked to the walls, I liked the ramp jumps, in general the jumps were not too precise like jump_pyrokinesis but it was fine.
- I like the speed you get at course 2 jump 11.
- Maybe because I'm playing on a missing texture map, but I cannot cap second point even if I capped the first one already
its last update was in "29 Oct, 2022".
I really hope it'll get fixed.
I wanna try it out and see what I think about it
hopefully soon.
