ColorBlindAccessibleUI

Description
Description
This mod provides configurable color options for a variety of UI elements.
There are currently 11 different colors available for use with the option to define your own via a config file.
Currently configurable UI Elements:
  • Casualty logs, Ally/Enemy kills
  • Trade prices, Very Good profit, Good profit, neutral, Loss, Bad Loss
  • Settlement nameplates for Allied and Enemy settlements
  • Party and Army size numbers on the world map, Ally/Enemy
  • Various Positive/Negative indicators such as differences in stats on equipment in Trade/Inventory screen

Usage
  • In the Main Menu you should see a Mod Options button, Click it to enter the Mod Config Menu
  • Select Color Blind Accessible UI in the left panel
  • You will be provided with several sections of options you may now configure. Each option provides a dropdown box to select the color you'd like to set for that UI element. If the dropdown extends below the visible screen, simply use the arrows to the left or right of the dropdown box to navigate through the selections.
  • Once you've set your preferences, Click Done
  • Load or Start a new game and enjoy your new settings.

Custom Color Configuration File
If the provided colors are not sufficient for your needs, or you simply want something different, you can add your own custom colors.
  • navigate to your SteamLibrary/steamapps/workshop/content folder and then located the folder containing ColorBlindAccessibleUI. From there, navigate to \bin\Win64_Shipping_Client
  • You will see a file named customColors.json, open it in your preferred file editor
  • Note the structure of the existing colors in the file as I've included them as an example
  • Place a comma after the last } curly bracket and then begin a new line with the following:
    {
    "name": "",
    "hexcode": ""
    }
  • Put the name of your new color within the apostrophes in the name field and the hexcode of the color within the apostrophes in the hexcode field

  • You can use a variety of online color pickers such as https://htmlcolorcodes.com/color-picker/ to get a hexcode for the color you want
  • Save the file.
  • Start Bannerlord
  • In the Mod Options configuration window for Color Blind Accessible UI you should now see your custom color added to the dropdown lists, labeled using the name you provided

If you find any other UI elements that are problematic for your particular vision situation, please do not hesitate to let me know. Add a comment request here or visit the Nexus site and leave a message in the POSTS or via direct message. I'll be happy to add more options to help you out.

@Poknutsaurus sorry for such a delayed response, life has been a hot mess the past month!

I don't believe the problem you're describing is directly related to a bug in this mod. The problem is that TaleWorlds uses too many different colors for too many things! Your selected colors for the trade price differences do not control the color of the price on those pop-ups when you hover over the item. That color is controlled via the Positive and Negative Indicators colors (can be found at the bottom of the Mod config list for this mod).

My suggestion is to set the Positive and Negative Indicator colors to the same color you're using for the Good/Bad prices and see how that works for you. The pop up will obviously not show the finer degree of Good/Bad color but at least it'll line up a little bit. I'll add a work item for myself to look into replacing that color entirely where possible to match the selected trade colors.

Thanks!

Thank you so fucking much for making this mod, I don't have to memorize good, avg, and low prices anymore. Before this mod I would have to spend a few hours at the start of every game memorizing all the prices

The idea is awesome, for me as a colorblind, but I think there is something wrong in the trade color. I'll try to explain.

I've put items that has a good price (cheap) in blue, and the other way red.
So when I go in the trade, I see all kind of color that doesn't fit what I've put. Blue and red are not the real blue and red. If I put my mouse over, the price of a blue item is now red or supposed to be white as it is almost the same price.

I have put a screen shot what I mean :)

I've just released a new update with a new feature. You can now configure the color of the battle formation popup icons that appear on screen in battles when pressing ALT. If you don't see those options in the configuration menu, please unsub and resubscribe to force a download since Steam doesn't seem to like doing it automatically!

Additionally, for those of you who haven't yet taken a moment to provide a rating for this mod, I would very much appreciate you doing so! Since this mod isn't really intended for a huge number of users it has yet to accumulate enough ratings to show any rating at all on Steam Workshop. Adding more ratings - good or bad - will get it there and make the mod easier to find for those who might need or want it. Thanks in advance, and an extra thanks to those who have already gone ahead and provided a rating!

Thank you, it's working for me :)

Just had to provide another update due to TW stealth updating things on us. If you're still crashing try unsubscribing and resubbing to this mod and all dependencies (MCM, ButterLib, UIExtenderEx) as they all required updates too.
