Heres a tip: To know if a mod works on newer rimworld versions download the Rimsort mod manager. In the mod manager next to the mod names you'll see the steam logo (folder icon for locally installed mods) and next to that another logo.
That other logo will either be "XML" or "C#" XML mods are simple mods that *usually* don't break between game versions. C# mods, however, break between versions far more often than XML mods do. Long explination short: Oudated XML mods usually work, C# usually don't.
