Min Maxing, a short guide
By Dr.Bass
Summary:
Never choose sith lord, always start consular, switch at lvl 15 to marauder, if you want a force power build though. Dark Side characters are always better in a min maxing pov than light sided ones, no matter your build.
Skill threshold you need in hard mode (dont forget to calculate in you stat bonuses):
21 computer,
30 demolition,
28 persuasion,
15-20 awareness,
21 repair,
30 security at least,
20 treat injury at least
Your main character needs to have the repair, computer, persuasion and awareness parts of this.
Always be a male (life is hard for women) and always pick power attack over flurry. Dual weapons are better than two handed ones.
Kreisa, Atton, Hanharr and Mandalore are your strongest companions.

Explanations:

Sith Lord is useless:
Never ever play sith lord, if you go for a force build, you start as consular and at lvl 15 you choose marauder. Why? Cause sith lord ONLY provides you with more force and more force powers, which at lvl 15 you have already more than you need, you will never run out of force. You need to find your first jedi before you become marauder, so you get your first quest form as a consular, which in case of a dark sided one is the 30% force dmg buff, the best one in the game for this build.

So what does the marauder bring up to the table: Defense and HP. You lack these and this class solves the issue. Addititionaly if you want, you can make melee work too, but i dont suggest you do this, as the force powers are just better. Take up all the tankiness feats and thats it.
There is no reason to become a sith lord, never, its by far the worst prestige as it literally brings nothing the others dont add, that actually matter (higher force doesnt), while the other 2 bring more tankiness or if you play indeed a weapon focused build, more dmg. The force power from sith lord is a worse terror, so even that is useless.
I cant stress this enough; somebody suggesting you choose sith lord has absolutely no clue about min-maxing, this is the biggest red flag.

Light vs dark side:
For min-maxing purposes a dark side character is always by far better than a light sided one. The sole reason is the wookie, that only sides with you on a dark path. He is not only one of the best companions in fights, he also provides a +1 Wis +2str (from Kreia) and + 2 (1 from Kreia ) Con bonus to you at a certain point. The Str surely doesnt matter depending on your build, but the con and wis always do.

Skills, heres everything you need to know:
You need 21 computer and 21 repair for T3M4s last upgrade, which again gives you a stat bonus (+1 Wisdom and 10 force). You need 15 or 20 awareness maximum. 15 is nessecary to pass all stealth checks while standing still. If you dont want to do this you need 20 awareness so pass all checks while walking due to a -5 penalty while walking. There are also some awareness checks in conversations, but i never encountered one where 15 is not enough.
You need 30 demolitions to pass all mine recovery checks. 28 persuasion is needed for the most difficult check. Security; i dont really understand, all i know is that the difficulty also scales with PC level, which is completely unique among the skills. So i suggest you keep it high, very high. At least 30 should be your target.
Repair and treat injury ad 20 will give you 100% components back when disassembling stuff.
These numbers all are for hard mode.
The player character needs to have the computer and repair aspect for T3M4, awareness for some conversations and persuasion (obviously).

Companions:
Tier list for battle
1:
Kreia: (force Power build with self buffs copied to the pc).
Atton: (lvl up until 19 for the last sneak attack perk, then switch to Jedi. Blaster build with force Buffs recommended).
Hanharr: Hits like a truck, pure Str, hard to build him wrong.
Mandalore: Same as Hanharr with less dmg but able to wear armor.
2:
HK-47: Blaster wielder. Hard to build him wrong. A worse but at least different Atton. Doesnt receive force buffs like battle meditation which is a huge downside. He gets +1 dex if you take him to G0T0s ship and to a specific computer terminal.
Visas Marr: Forcer power build recommended. A worse Kreia.
Handmaiden/ Disciple: Str or Finesse melee. Dont give him/her any lvl as soldier. A Substitute Mandalore/ Hanharr with less dmg but force powers.
3:
Mira: In every way worse than Atton. Build her as blaster wielder, but dont excpect too much without sneak attacks after crits.
T3M4: Hes just a utility bot, however i suggest you build him tanky and use the droid arm for suprisingly good results. Same as HK-47 he gets +1 dex at G0T0s ship.
G0T0: Useless in every way.
Bao dur: Useless in every way (besides his Skills of course). Sucks as a Jedi as he cannot wear robes and sucks as technician as he cannot wear heavy armour. Dont bother.

Feats:
Power Attack is the best attack when you lack dmg, for example with a finesse melee build. Overall its the best attack. If you run a crit build, critical attack is obviously better (more reliable). Flurry gets on par with power attack on very, VERY high lvls of dmg, dont bother. Dont bother about Flurry on Hanharr either, as he starts with power attack 2 and Flurry 0, which needs 2 more feats invested for similar results.
Dual Weapons are always better than two handed ones and double bladed lightsabers are better than two single handed ones. Only take dueling for kreia.

Force Powers:
Buffs are good, dark force powers are good. Kill, Terror and Force Storm stomp the game. Dont bother with any other ccs than Terror on a dark build.
Throw lightsaber is useless as fck.
Force Speeds additional attack doesnt stack with furys (from Marauder/ Jedi Weaponsmith) additional hit.

Additional infos:
Your main character should be male if you go for the light side to get a buff called battle precognition.
Your main character should again be male if you focus on wisdom; to get the handmaiden, who gives you a wisdom defence modifier after your train with her. This modifier only works with robes though. To be clear, it doesnt work with light armors that still allow the use of force powers either.
Dont influence Visas Marr before you got the Handmaidens wisdom modifier buff, as the Handmaiden will hate you if your influence with Visas is much higher than with her, preventing any further conversations with her.
Push Con to +15. You get +2 Con from Hanharr (and Kreia) and +1 from HK47. That pushes you to base 18, which allows you to wear the best implants.
You can neglect charisma if you dont use a force build, however you should never neglect wisdom, as it strengthens your force resistance, aka is the only way to not get stun-locked at some specific points if you dont have a specific implant.

@Zero Hour:
Depends what you are going for.
Advantage of double bladed is that the name crystal works for both attacks, which is impossible with 2 blades.

However, for my current Sith Lord build (more for fun than min-maxing :sfsmug:) I am using 2 single sabers, because you can get more defense and blaster deflect that way (currently at 49 defense or something with Handmaidens buff, lol)
Also, being able to have more buffs for force powers (+WIS|+CH) is neat, as they don't stack on a single saber (so if you have DS name crystal with +CH, the +CH crystal doesn't increase the total +CH you get from that saber).

From a pure min-max dps approach, double bladed is 9/10 times better and easier to set up.

However, you can dual wield just fine, it works great as well, it's just slightly less busted than a double-bladed. Single sabers also work, again, slightly less busted.
You can pretty much build however you want, I even did a full blaster only run as my MC once and it worked xD

Isn't two single lightsabers better than a double bladed so you can stack more crystal upgrades? I really like the advice on how to get the attribute buffs from party dialogue

Very useful!
