For P-rank there are 3 main things you need to get a S score in that being
Time
Kills (as long as you complete the level this does itself)
and sometimes the most hard Style


For time a good way to save some is jumping down the bone staircase instead of walking down it throwing the torch with the whiplash helps because it lights up so you can see where you are going.
