GUIDE TO GETTING RICH IN DLV!!!

HERE'S ONE OF THE BEST METHODS TO GET RICH FAST IN DREAMLIGHT VALLEY! (500K-1M+ STAR COINS)

STEP 1: SAVE UP SOME DREAMLIGHT!

YOU MUST save up a total of 22,000 Dreamlight.

• This is because you need 7,000 Dreamlight to unlock the biome, Sunlit Plateau.
• After this, you can unlock the Forgotten Lands which will cost you 15,000 Dreamlight, so get saving!
This will take you some time, especially if you're starting out.

STEP 2: SAVE UP SOME STAR COINS!

You're going to need some star coins in your bank if you're looking to invest in lots of pumpkin seeds. Before you can do that, you must save up your star coins by any means possible. HOWEVER, I recommend you save up money by selling meals cooked by you on the stove.


One recipe in particular is very helpful for getting you started: Souffle.
Here is the recipe: SOUFFLE = Cheese (1), eggs (1), Milk (1), Butter (1)



You can make a ton of Souffle's and sell them for about 1.2K per Souffle!

BE MINDFUL OF YOUR COAL!



unless you have bought thousands from Kristoff's stall like me..

UPDATE 12.6.2022:

KRISTOFF'S STALL HAS BEEN NERFED IN THE DECEMBER UPDATE! YOU CAN'T GET UNLIMITED QUANTITIES OF COAL ANYMORE!!! :(

STEP 3: BUYING PUMPKIN SEEDS

Pumpkin seeds can be bought from Goofy's stall in Forgotten Lands. Each pumpkin seed bag costs 275 star coins per bag; 27.2K star coins per 99 bags.

When you have a good amount of money, spam-buying the 99 bags will be a great investment.



It's going to take 4 hours for pumpkins to 'grow'. After those 4 hours, you will have to water all your plants again and wait another 2 hours for the pumpkins to be ready for harvesting.

If your game happens to have rain for all of that time, you're very lucky. Watering 8 by 8 plants at once can be a pain at times.


FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TIME SKIPPED:
If you've already broken your game from time skipping like myself, you can skip ahead 4 hours and then another 2 hours to grow the pumpkins faster.

STEP 4: HARVESTING & SELLING PUMPKINS!

You may have noticed your crops fully growing by looking at the map:




Once your pumpkins are ready to be harvested, they will begin plopping around.



Sometimes you may get a random memory orb from harvesting or a golden orb around what you harvested so that way you can get more pumpkins at once.



When its time to sell your pumpkins, you will earn about 300K-500K+ star coins (depending on the amount of pumpkins you planted and the amount you get back)!

after all, its worth it! (and you're even luckier if it happens to rain in your game).

STEP 5 (OPTIONAL): COOKING PUMPKIN FOR EXTRA CASH

The two options are to either create:
PUMPKIN SOUP or PUMPKIN PUFFS

Pumpkin Puffs = Pumpkin (1), Eggs (1), and Cheese (1)


Pumpkin Soup = Any Vegetable (1), Milk (1), Ginger (1), and Pumpkin (1)

Creating either one will earn you lots of money from selling. The one thing to be mindful of are the recipes needed and the amount of coal you have (unless you've finished Maui & Kristoff's quest so that you can buy coal from Kristoff's stall). .

To be honest, I wouldn't do this until the game adds a mass-cook button so you don't have to go back and forth cooking everything individually.

• So in the end, either one is great for making more money off of pumpkins. However, pumpkin puffs will be the better option if you want to use less ingredients, hehe.

Thanks for the tips about pumpkins - when I got wall-e I chose all of his options to be gardening or harvesting and got him his veggie grow area. Whenever I harvest pumpkins I ask him to hang out first and usually end up with twice the number of pumpkins I planted.

Good luck 💗💗 and remember Kristoff's stall rotates daily! You have a chance of getting anything (coal, sand, fabric, glass, bricks, or snowballs).

Correction: It takes four hours TOTAL for the pumpkins to grow and be ready for harvesting. You can water them after two hours, and then harvest them two hours later. I.e. It takes two hours after the initial planting/watering, and another two hours after watering them a second time.

Follow up: I can't edit my first comment so I'll add this here,

Selling 5 pumpkins = $3320
Selling 1 meal made from 5 cooked pumpkins = $4115

I'd say there's probably not too many better uses for your coal

This is essentially what I did, except don't forget you don't need to stick to the games recipes. If you just fire 5 pumpkins in a pot as "grilled veggies" it still sells for $4115 or so just based on the value of the ingredients. I haven't found a higher value meal yet (But if anyone knows of one I'd be interested to find out)
