Who is Gandhi/Nuclear Gandhi
Gandhi or his popular term "nuclear gandhi" is from the civilization series. One of his main characteristics that make him so recognizable is that he seems very innocent and peacefull at first, but when he gets mad, he immediately puts all resources into nuclear armaments and proceeds to make you wish you has never angered him in the first place.

This bug started out as a coding oversight but the devs decided to make it a feature, and now people refer to Gandhi as "Nuclear Gandhi" due to how much resources he puts into nuclear weapons when he is angry.

Why should Gandhi be the 10th class in tf2
Now you may think Gandhi in tf2 is as a far fetched of a 10th class as any other person, however I will go in depth a bit and explain to you why Gandhi being the 10th class may not be that crazy.
As we all know, the tf2 mercs a pretty goofy sometimes. For example, the pyro who was meant to be the scariest and most delusional pyromaniac and overall psychotic class in tf2 ended up being just as scary as a hoovy wearing the chicken kiev. The same goes for all the other tf2 mercs because the overall atmosphere of tf2 itself is just funny and goofy feeling, however all the mercs have their darker moments, and Gandhi is no different.

When you think about Gandhi for the very first time playing a civilization game, you may think of him as overall kind and a person who enjoys peace. After all, in the real world Gandhi looked for peace, not war. But in civilization Gandhi's views of the world gets completely thrown out the window when you make him mad, start a war with him, or refuse to accept an offering from him. Because due to a bug that was later turned into a feature, Gandhi when angered, would reach an anger level higher than any other person in that game could. What was also scary about him was he would immediately divert all his resources into making atomic bombs so he could rid you of your existence in that game. No joke Gandhi is one of the most terrifying leaders in civilization, and if you f*ck with him, be prepared to hear 20 different nuclear sirens go off because Gandhi wont stop until either you win, or he wins.

This type of behavior would fit well with the tf2 universe as Gandhi clearly has two sides: Happy and peacefull, and an absolute monster

This tells us that Gandhi is like most of the tf2 mercs, because they all share their goofyness and funny stuff, but when they get serious, they are bound to break some skulls, or worse...
Gandhi would also change up the game a little, and il talk more about that in the next section. My personal reason why Gandhi should be in tf2 is because...well...it would be funny. I dont have much more to say for that...
What Gandhi would have in tf2
Alright so we cant just speculate about Gandhi without speculating his arsenal as well. This is where i want to talk about his weapons and perhaps special quirks he may posses if for some reason he was in the game. First off his primary should relate to what he is most famous for: Nuking everybody to hell. For this primary weapon, I think Gandhi should have a nuke weapon like the Davy Crockett or the fatman nuke launcher from fallout, but with its own twist to destinguish its desgin from others. Im thinking about something combining these two weapons:

+

Im not great at thinking up stuff so let me hear your thoughts on this. This is just for his primary weapon, for his secondary, theres not much I can think of as Gandhi doesn't specifically have any pistol or baseline side weapon to go off of. However I can go for a common weapon that is made (not strictly) in india: The ak-47. Or for a reasonable sidegrade, the compact version of the ak-47.

This would most likely be a small damage dealing weapon similar to snipers smg, however most likely would deal higher damage at a slower firing rate similar to how the real compact ak-47 functions. This would help in dealing ample amounts of damage to enemies when your too close to use your primary (we will get into the primary's stats later on). As for the melee, the obvious pick is Gandhi's staff. This could be a staff that deals a stunning effect for 1.5 seconds on an enemy hit by it but would have a very slow attacking rate. However if not this could be kind of like the bat scout uses but comparable to heavies melee damage on stock.

Possible weapon stats:
Nuke launcher:

-Fires a nuke that has a massive explosion dealing 200 damage + radiation damage (20 damage every second for 5 seconds).

-This nuke takes about 50 seconds to recharge after launch, and its damage is affected if the enemy has cover. In which case the victim will suffer half of the damage + minor radiation damage for 2 seconds (still 20 damage).

-The radiation can be mitigated by going to a ressuply locker or by picking up a hp pack.

-When you join a game the nuke launcher isn't ready yet, however its only a 20 second wait before you can use it rather than the normal 50 seconds. This allows the enemy some time to get set up and prepare before Gandhi fires his nuke.

-This weapon also affects Gandhi himself, meaning if he is too close to the blast, he will also suffer from the same damage + radiation.

-This weapon cant crit

Compact Ak-47:
-Has a 30 round clip

-Does 20 damage per hit (affected by falloff to the point where it does only 10 damage).

-Can randomly crit

Staff

-Does 65 damage

-Can stun an enemy for 1.5 seconds

Gandhi's stats
Ok so Gandhi as i picture him, is a really overpowered class that would ruin the game, so heres something that could...potentially even the odds. Again im not the god of balancing, lets face it, my entire profile revolves around a meme class in tf2. So dont take me too seriously on this one.

Here are some stats I think could make Gandhi a little bit fairer to fight against:

Hp: 100
This would cause players to have to be wise about their hp as they could easily be killed with one rocket or pipe.

Movement speed: 85%
This would be just slightly faster than a heavy, meaning Gandhi would not be able to make an escape easily if he was caught with no teammates to help him. This would also make people not go crazy and just run around the map abusing Gandhi's nuke launcher and would instead make them have to think more on the defence.

This is basically all i have for Gandhi, so let me know if you enjoyed this rant about how this dude who loves nukes and has anger issues should be the 10th class in tf2.

Closing thoughts
I dont know what to put in these sections so i just usually go for some meme or something idk.

Edit: Coming back to this, Gandhi is still broken as hell so uhhh, mayby limit the class to 1 per team, or rework the whole damn thing because im terrible at designing new classes lol.

(Mayby the guard dog idea isn't so bad after all...)

Despite my "balancing", Gandhi would be op as hell so I don't think he's ever gonna make it into the game lol.
