(Outdated) Tips and Tricks to help you survive in the Backrooms!

This will go into some detail about each thing you need to know. Ive been playing this game for quite a bit for the last 2 weeks, and been speedrunning a bit aswell, I want to share some tips from my time that could help new players out!

Levels and Maps

Level 0

There are 2 exits on Level 0, Pitfalls (Chess Board on the right), and Big Room/Normal Room (The bottom).

Habitable Zone

There are 3 exits, Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, (might be bottom right aswell, not sure). Do not look for exits aside from the ones ive listed. B-Hopping can be very useful in this level.

Pipe Dreams
Turn right and walk till you see the rainbow lights

Level Fun

This level will take some practice

Poolrooms
Do not go into the blue tile/dark glitchy rooms. Once you wander for a bit you will find a room with squares with round edges on the ceiling and floor, once you get there turn right into the room with big archways. Once your there go in room kinda diagonally across from you, you should pass one more normal room and then find a big blue slide.

Run for your life!
The items that fall dont fall randomly, they all have a set pattern, its mostly just memorizing that pattern. The only thing that can go unscripted is the blue lockers/mattresses/shelf thingy, sometimes they wont fall the same exact way each time.

Level 9223372036854775807
Go up the stairs, once you get to a certain point, the middle hole will open up, if this is your first time and your on solo go until you get to the floor that says ∞. Once your there drop down.

B-Hopping

The simplest way I can put this is,
1. Press sprint
2. Then jump
3. Once your in the air let go of sprint
4. When you land repeat this process

It took me about 3 hours to get good at it and even after 30 hours of playtime I still mess it up.

Glitches

These very well might get patched in future updates but heres the helpful ones

Level Fun Stuck Glitch
In the second room, there is one partygoer that doesnt face the way you need to go. Get a reasonable distance behind him and move a bit to the left until all the other partygoers start chasing you, if you do this right they will all get stuck on the partygoer that isnt facing you and you can progress that part easier

Level 0 See-Thru Walls
Turn your graphics quality all the way down in the settings, then go up close to a wall and you should be able to see thru it
