RE4 Easy 100% Achievements Guide (SAVE FILES) (CHEESE)

Guide to easily getting all achievements in RE4 including save files for download, guides on how to install, etc.

Missable Achievements

Do Not Shoot the Water!: in chapter 1-3, before boarding the boat, walk to the end of the pier and shoot at the water. A big ass fish will eat Leon and you will get this achievement

What Are They Worth?: Complete 4 rows of collectible bottle caps by doing shooting galleries near merchants in chapter 3-1, 4-1, 4-2, 5-1, and 5-3. Note there are 5 galleries in total, you only need to visit 4 of them to get the achievement (I've also heard this can be done all at once at the later shooting galleries, but I didn't verify it myself). Make sure you get 6 prizes from each shooting range pattern, A through D. I recommend doing Rapid Fire and aiming for headshots. If you're accurate and get 5 consecutive hits, you can hit a Salazar head for bonus points. You should be able to complete each row in 1-2 plays of each gallery.

A Terrifying Assassin: In chapter 4-1, you fight Verdugo, Salazar's monstrous assassin. Knock over a can of nitrous in the room you first encounter this beast, and make sure to bring a rocket launcher to finish it off. A launcher can be bought from the merchant before the fight. The P.R.L. 42 also works well for this.

The S Stands for Stylish: Achievement for unlocking all costumes. Not really missable, unless you replace your save game with another for the sake of easily getting the achievement for beating Professional mode. To get all costumes, just finish the story mode, and then do the extra mode Separate Ways. Separate Ways is relatively easy as Ada has pre-upgraded guns compared to Leon's standard affair.

Unmissable Achievements

A Heart of Steel: Clear the game on Professional difficulty. This can easily be done by using the Raygun or other infinite ammo weapons in NG+ or NG++. See the next section for how to download and install other save games, but be warned that it could make certain achievements unobtainable so keep a backup of your original save

It Begins With a Ring: Story related, ring the bell

A Rock and a Hard Place: Story related, defeat the first El Gigante

Secure the Ballistics: Story related, rescue Ashley

A Bloodline Severed: Story related, defeat Bitores Mendez

The Castellan Falls: Story related, defeat Salazar

The Ties That Bind: Story related, defeat Krauser

We're Going Home: Story related, defeat Saddler (final boss)

My save includes the original Round 2 start from the Nexus Save, my own Round 3 start, and many saves in between. Starting from the most recent save, beginning Round 3, will give you the P.R.L 42 raygun, the Handcannon, and over 2 million Ptas. with which to buy the Infinite Rocket Launcher and the Chicago Typewriter. The original Round 2 start did not have enough money to buy these, so by starting on Round 3 you can start your playthrough with all secret weapons unlocked and immediately available to purchase

NOTE: RE4 saves are bound to your steam ID, so you won't be able to just download the save and pop it into your save folder, you will need to either manually edit "savegame00.sav" to include your unique steam ID number, or just use this very helpful tool someone made. All you need is a save file with your unique ID, by booting up the game at least once and creating one, and another save with progress you would like to reassign to your steam ID:

The file path to your RE4 saves should look something like this, in Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[your unique user id]\254700\remote\savegame00.sav

WARNING: as far as I know, getting the "S is for Stylish" achievement is impossible while starting from this save, as all costumes are already unlocked. Be sure to make a backup of your save so that you can reload it from a later date, should you need to.

I didn't feel like playing this game all the way through again on Professional mode lol, so I downloaded the Nexus save hoping that doing a Round 2 would give me the Heart of Steel achievement. Happily, it did, and I finished my 100% with ease in around 1/4th of the time it probably would have taken me.

When I finish my next playthrough (which has simply gotta happen, now that I can finally afford the typewriter and infinite launcher), I plan on reuploading a new save to make these achievements even simpler to obtain. For example, saving at key points in the story, before missable achievements and bosses.

@Pixeldude I was able to do a gallery on chapter 3-1 and other online resources I referred to while writing confirm. I believe that is the same gallery between chapter 3-2 and 3-1. Either way, there’s a total of 5 galleries with only 4 required for completion. Happy hunting and RE4 remake season!
