How to - Open Firewall Ports for Heroes & Generals

Step-by-step Guide for Windows Firewall users who need to open the required ports for H&G.

In this topic you will find a step-by-step Guide to open the required ports for Heroes & Generals. Currently this Guide only includes a how-to for the Windows Firewall.

Step 1

Open your Control Panel (Start > Control Panel)

Step 2

Go to System and Security

Step 3

Go to Windows Firewall

Step 4

Go to Advanced Settings


Step 5

Go to Inbound Rules

Step 6

Click on 'New Rule' (right hand side)


Step 7

Select the available option 'Port' and click 'Next'.

Step 8

Select TCP and select the specific local port. Add the following text in the text field:

80, 443, 6667, 15000-15500

Once this is done. Click 'Next'.


Step 9
Select the 'Allow the connection' option and click 'Next'.

Step 10

Select an option depending your situation. For desktop PC's I advise only to select 'Private'. For notebook users it may be useful to enable all options.

Step 11

Name the rule you just created Heroes & Generals.

Step 12

Repeat the above procedure but instead of TCP select UDP and fill in the following:

16000-17000

Its a typcal guide from internet, and its will not help, cause the game initially in FireWalls whitelist, because it is on Steam (you can check manually).
