*This mod is immortal/in a finished state. Pending an extremely specific/major update to the game, or a daring hero with a magic sword; it should work regardless of last time it was updated.

Updated for MCT 0.9 beta, backwards compatible with legacy MCT.

Nerf the AI into the ground! Give them massive buffs for hardcore mode difficulty! Or just tweak it to find your perfect middle ground of settings.
With Custom Challenge, you can have it your way.


...k...what is tho?
Super simple rip of MCT settings from my Organic AI mod. One pic shows everything included, and some samples of it changing the upkeep.
*If you're swapping over from Organic AI you are good to go, both are save game compat. Just make sure you disable Organic from your load order and vice versa to avoid any unforeseen circumstances(no point to run both and may cause issues with MCT's UI, and thus other mods functionality, scripts etc.)

This shouldn't crash without the MCT as I've tested these scripts with Organic AI in that regard, but I've made it required as...doesn't really do anything without it.




"Let Me Show You Its Features"
Some of what I thought were more vital effects you'll see used in the "campaign_difficulty_handicap_effects_tables"
- Contains what I'm assuming are most important things to mod for difficulty

- Few extra inclusions that are not in the table, but either were in 2, or I added to my other mod and left in(they all default to 0, ie unless you edit those, nothing happens with the script and no values for those in the table, so no edit to the game)

- All settings should default to normal vanilla difficulty when load up the mod for the first time, and I've included the default values best I could from the data.pack file's default table in each settings tooltip displayed as follows: easy,normal,hard,vh,leg

- Need to reload your save file to effect any changes

- Best way to test, save game with an AI army in view, play around with the upkeep in it's extremes while load your game each time make an edit, should see them swing from extremely expensive upkeep on their unit cards to basically paying nothing, visual examples in screen shots above of this.

- I'm happy to edit values, or add few more effects but basically this mod isn't meant to be a major on-going project like Organic AI, which if looking for more of an all in one pack(customisation with anti player bias nerfs etc), might prefer that over this or I'd recommend CJ's actual Campaign Configuration mod. They've started to get it going again for WH3 and CJ's mod I'm certain will contain everything this does and a lot more. CJ3200 and their Campaign Configuration mod for WH2, absolutely no way I could have figured out issues with my script in first version without looking over what they did for that game/mod and the MCT.

Compatibility/Known issues

No major known issues ive encountered, but please note the following before commenting about issues:

Safe to say, don't use this with Organic AI, no point as it is same MCT scripts/edits can make, and likely cause issues.

Hoping this'll play nice with most of the other difficulty mods, why I uploaded it separate from my main AI mod. Let me know any weirdness though with other mods of this nature, I can try a couple things to make this more compatible across the boards...just may be oddness with values while using a modded table not set to 0 for these handicap effects based on testing my other mod.

UI/Text, might be some carry overs from Organic AI mod, and over time as IE is updated the vanilla values may change, I'll try to update these if/when that happens.

For COOP etc, just going off the MCT main page doesn't look this this will work as of right now in MP, but they are planning to add MP support when they can.

*Nip this is the bud before SFO finishes next major update: I have absolutely no clue if this will work with overhaul mods like SFO and Radious. They are wonderful projects, but as a modder myself I tend to just create my own balance as I prefer so I don't use mods of that nature very often. This is a general message I'm pasting on all my mods so may not even be relevant, but I simply do not have time to properly test my mod for every overhaul mod if want to continue working on my own. That being said, anyone is welcome to create a submod, etc to make my stuff work with mods of that nature.

Elves of Prowess Adds prowess abilities for DE/HE to mounts missing it(couple other tweaks to which unit gets which type too etc)
Druchii Raiding Camps Adds a raiding camp stance for DE
Druchii Overhaul Mod WIP but contains the two above mods, as well as some mods to raiding and black arc stances

Brought over main OAI update to MCT settings. You can now tweak by individual culture upkeep as well, fyi this will stack with the global settings.

Updated the required version of MCT to the 0.9 MP beta, as I've been using it for a lot of hours now and have experienced no issues, recommend it over the old version personally just cos like UI updates. This is still backwards compatible though with 0.8, you just won't see any new changes anymore. "

cha, for now have to use legacy with this. Looking like have to rewrite parts of the script, so may be a week or two till have time do it all, test etc.

Tideturners? Something like that, pretty cool actually as they’ve set it up to effect individual culture groups…which is on my to do list for a while now haha
