Quick Start - The quickest way to customize your Starbound experience (Collections of client-side mods included!)
By Good Game
Quick Start is a project that aims to help players quickly set up their custom Starbound experience by using custom-made Workshop collections, editing the configuration file, using admin commands and using tools.

You are only a few clicks away from a Minecraft-like creative mode and only a few commands away from teleporting to the outpost, unlocking techs or even jumping straight into the 1.4 update's content! :)

What are client-side mods?

Client-side mods, in short, are mods that you can safely install without a server and/or other players also having to have them installed. Due to this, some customizations like the ones that change character sprites or emotes, will only be visible to you unless other players use them too.
Admin commands
There is a number of admin commands that can help you quickstart your character by repairing/upgrading your ship, skipping quests, etc.. Admin commands can only be used in admin mode (which also makes you invincible and have infinite energy). To enter/leave admin mode, use the following chat command:
/admin
For example, to immediately jump into the 1.4 update's content, use the following chat command in admin mode:
/bountyhunter

You can find a list of commands alongside their detailed description at https://starbounder.org/Commands
The configuration file
Further customizations are possible by editing the starbound.config configuration file. Editing this file is quick and easy. Any text editor, even Windows' built-in Notepad suffices. The configuration file can be found in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\storage
on Windows operating systems.

Having more than 4 people in a party

This can be achieved by changing the value of maxTeamSize to a higher number.

Gaining access to the /debug, /boxes and /fullbright chat commands without having access to admin mode (on someone else's server for example).

This can be achieved by setting the value of allowAdminCommandsFromAnyone to true .
Warning: This might give people access to admin mode when joining you through Steam!
Starcheat[starcheat.net]
Starcheat is a save editor featuring a quite user-friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface), that lets you quickly edit your character, items, ship, etc.

Backing up your character and ship data before using Starcheat is recommended. This data can by default be found in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\storage\player
on Windows operating systems.

You can download Starcheat at https://starcheat.net/ .
