what are you using? download content manager for better cars/tracks, and run the game from there, youre on the right path, more clutch to engage, handbrake, throttle control, a little bit of brake and you'll be there in no time. best of luck!

if ure on controller then there are drift assist scripts out there which are very nice to use, if ure on wheel more training will eventually be ur savior ;)

I used to drift in AC some time ago. The tips that helped me the most were: 1. visualize the corner/drift before entering the drift (requires some track knowledge) 2. fine tune the ffb (especially self-centering) 3. keep steering and throttle input smooth. The first tip will help big time since you won't correct mid drift as much. As a side note: I would recommend trying to drift without handbrake and clutch kicks at first and then slowly adding theses methods. If you can't break traction just with throttle input and a little steering input raise rear tire pressure. Easiest track/car combo to learn basic drifting is the one that is already included in the base game ae86/(the one included drift track).
