these weapon sounds are modified version of Insurgency Sandstorm, Verdun, Hell let loose and Insurgency source. some were tuned, combined or tweaked in order to suit for Left 4 Dead 2 weapons.

Better than most, but still a weird mix of Counter Strike and super tinny Arma mods. Insurgency has the same problem, where the metallic jackhammer sound is emphasized over the loud, concussive, mini-explosions that gunshots actually are.
