Many wanderer's in the wasteland. But none as mysterious as the Ronin. Their pasts are a mystery. How they became master less is unknown but for whatever reason they chose not to follow their master to death and have chosen exile instead. Stripped of their honor, title, and armor many Ronin wear the simple Hakama.

This one took a while but its something i wanted to make so here it is, the Hakama. It's a simple cloth robe worn by samurai and Ronin and I really like its style. I've tried to make it look good while also keeping within a limited tri count to fit into kenshi's parameters. I'm happy with how it turned out so here we are. I've made several new models for kenshi and textured them to fit the aesthetic.

This mod includes:
-1 new top Hitatare
-1 new Hakama Trousers (geared and non-geared)
-1 new Ronin Hat
-1 new Waraji Sandals
-1 new Shikomizue (katana)

All pants and tops come in 3 different colors, yellow, grey, and white/blue. The pants also come with a geared version.

This mod also comes with a new custom start called: Wandering Ronin (it will start you in a random area with a basic set of the clothes and random leveled Shikomizue).

Stats and Obtaining
These can be researched in the research bench under "Ronin" in the Cat's Clothing tab. Then they may be crafted in the clothing and weapons benches.

The stats for the clothes and weapons varies:
The Hakama and the Hitatare both have cloth armor stats but are buffed slightly to offer some very slight protection from blunt and cut damage to reflect the thick cloth material. In addition the clothes also offers decent protection from acid and dust storms as it covers the body and legs. Finally both also offer a buff in combat speed and stealth. Since it is a simple robe it allows for more flexibility in combat and doesn't make much sound when sneaking.

The Shikomizue should be on par with normal katanas and for now has two variations, Rusted and Refitted.

Hakamas are pretty lore friendly I think as they fit the aesthetic. I made sure to keep it dirty and worn but possibly future variations will be cleaner depending on who will be wearing it.

The Shikomizue is a hidden katana blade concealed inside a simple scabbard. So what looks like an ordinary cane or stick is actually a hidden blade. Usually carried by Ronin.

Q. What ref did you use?
A. I used old pictures of the Hakama pictures online and old art.

Q.Why isnt anyone else wearing these?
A. They will be added to npcs at a later date when I make my clothing overhaul.
