Dear Animal Friends,
finally after all those years since the very first release of "The Lion King" i understand now the intro song of this lovely cartoon.

The Song Lyrics, Zulu Language and translation

So, what are the opening lyrics to ‘Circle of Life’?
The lyrics, written in Zulu and sung by the great South African composer Lebo M., read as follows:

‘Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba Sithi uhm ingonyama.

‘Nants ingonyama bagithi baba Sithi uhhmm ingonyama Ingonyama Siyo Nqoba Ingonyama Ingonyama nengw’ enamabala’



And here’s how they translate:
‘Here comes a lion, father, Oh yes it’s a lion.

‘Here comes a lion, father, Oh yes it’s a lion. A lion we’re going to conquer, a lion, a lion and a leopard come to this open place.’

I love the original Lion King but not so much the other movies. Certainly not TLG.
Most of my zoos are savannah habitats.

I always loved the lion king's music and it's good it know what the lyrics are and @Varick the leopard might be a reference to the jungle book.Similar plots and stuff.

i pretty much grew up with lion king. have all three movies on my pc

I really enjoyed the movie (named my franchise Circle of Life; probably not the only one to do that LOL) and the music but, now that I see the translation, the words seem strange for the movie. It sounds like they are hunting a lion and where does the leopard come into it? Do you have any insight on that? Thanks.
