Starting Off; Make sure you are running NATIVE resolution and I will explain why later!

V-sync can be disabled or enabled (Personal Preference)

Turn EVERYTHING to Low, it will not impact visuals at all! Mesh included as it doesn't work like it used to in both Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 4.

FFR (Future Frame Rendering) MUST be enabled! If disabled, your GPU will never fully be utilized resulting in terrible frames and fps drops.

Motion Blur should be set to 1%, this will be explained further in the guide.
User Configuration
In this step we will be creating a User Configuration that will be launched when the game starts up which includes some command tweaks that will pull as much performance as possible!

THIS IS AN OPTIONAL STEP BUT A BENEFICIAL ONE

To start locate your Battlefield V folder; If you are on Origin it should be located in the Origin folder.
Program Files (x86)/Origin Games/Battlefield V

Steam can be located in the SteamApps folder or by Browsing Local Files on Steam Library
Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Battlefield V

OR

Right Click Battlefield V in the Library, Click Properties. Click Local Files then click "Browse"

You should see files like this:

Right Click and create a new Text Document. Name it "User" and then access the text Document

Type these commands or copy and paste them:

worldrender.lighttilecspathenable 0
Render.DisplayMappingHdrPeakLuma 0
WorldRender.SpotLightShadowmapEnable 0
WorldRender.TransparencyShadowmapsEnable 0
PostProcess.ScreenSpaceRaytraceEnable 0
perfoverlay.drawfps 1
perfoverlay.fpsdisplayscale 3

I will explain what EACH thing does:
WorldRender.LightTileCsPathEnable 0: removes the forced Anti-Aliasing the game has. Make sure your Motion Blur is set to 1% and that your are using DirectX11 and not DirectX12.

If you happen to already be using DirectX12 and you use this config, your game WILL NOT START. You will have to remove and Re-add the command to the config file once you have switched from DirectX12 to DirectX11.

In order for this command to properly work, Motion Blur MUST BE SET TO 1%. If for whatever reason you HAVE NOT set it to 1%, the Anti-Aliasing will still be active! You can tell by how once it is active, the blurriness from afar is removed.

There is also a slight Screen Shaking if you are NOT moving. If you are constantly moving, it isn't very noticeable. You tend to forget its ever there

Render.DisplayMappingHdrPeakLuma 0: Removes certain lighting effects which improves performance.

WorldRender.SpotLightShadowmapEnable 0: Also removes lighting effects which improves performance.

WorldRender.TransparacyShadowmapsEnable 0: Removes small and large shadows. Not something you would notice but DOES improve performance.

PostProcess.ScreenSpaceRaytraceEnable 0: This command just removes lighting in rooms. Very noticeable which makes floors especially floors with raytracing effects like mirroring appear as if its drenched in water.

PerfOverlay.DrawFPS 1: Enables a Green FPS Counter in the top right corner of your screen. This is optional and doesn't improve Performance but I included it just incase people want to have a FPS counter without having to use MSI Afterburner or other software counters to see FPS.

PerfOverlay.FpsDisplayScale 3: This just dictates the size of the counter, this can be adjusted in increments of 1. You can play with this if you wish to have the counter on. This does require the DrawFPS command to be in the config.

Once you have copied and pasted the commands in the Text Document, Click "File" in the top left corner and Click "Save As".

Your file name should be user.cfg and the "Save As Type" should be "All Files" and it should look like this:

If it looks like mine, press "Save" and you should now have a file named user with the File Type as "CFG File". If it is NOT a CFG File you did this step wrong.

Your Battlefield V folder should look similar to this:

If you have successfully did this step right, Your game should look like this.
These pictures were taken In-Game with this Configuration File.

This was outside on Operation Underground. As you can see things look brighter and the blurriness is now gone

This was taken in the Corridors underneath on Operation Underground. The walls and ground look way brighter and the shadows are removed which gives the effect I was referring too as if the ground was drenched in water.
Enjoy the Game!
With these changes, you will see an increase in FPS. I am curious what everyone see in Performance increase!

Leave a Like, Award or just a comment telling me if this worked and helped you gain some FPS!
