Description
This mini-mod reduces the damage that humanlike unarmed attacks deal to buildings.

What This Does

This mod replaces the ToolCapacityDef of certain unarmed tools with BluntUnarmed, which uses a custom ManeuverDef and custom DamageDef that deals 50% damage to buildings instead of regular Blunt's 150% damage. This is an overall 2/3 damage reduction to those attacks.

This mod affects the Blunt tools on Humans, races that inherit from HumanRace (via Humans are Aliens Too), and ThingDef_AlienRace instances that inherit from BasePawn, meaning it should affect almost all alien races made with Humanoid Alien Races.

The ultimate result of this mod is that humanlike pawns should deal significantly less unarmed damage, such as when unarmed prisoners try to break down their prison doors or pawns having a tantrum start punching walls.

What This Does NOT Do

This mod does not affect pawn tools that do not use Blunt damage. Alien race claws, punches that deal Heat damage, or even the regular human Bite are not affected.

This mod does not affect animal attacks. Muffalo will still drill through mountains to get off your map if you fenced them out.

This mod does not affect implant tools, such as those from bionic or archotech arms.

This mod does not affect armed melee attacks. Sappers with breach axes will still cut through walls like a hot knife through butter.

This does not reduce the damage that pawns in a tantrum deal to items, only buildings.

I'm having an issue similar to some other comments. Prisoners are using the mining job instead of an attack. This isn't an issue with this mod specifically, as I've additionally tested it on (Vanilla + Prisoners Don't Have keys), and the same effect takes place. I was mostly hoping for a way to resolve it, so if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.

here's an idea: "Steel Fists". It's a gene that makes a pawn able to go through walls easier

I'm having an issue with prisoners still mining through doors. In fact, they're doing 40 damage per hit, enough to very rapidly break through pretty much any door they want.

Not sure if im missing something, But when using this mod my prisonors still "Mine" the walls. So really nothing change?

Thank you for you excellent work. May I request you expand this mod? To add a mechanics like if a pawn attacks the wall with a fist or other body parts, then there is a probability that this part of the pawn will also be damaged, which cause the pawn stop attacking when the damage reaches a certain pain threshold.

@Cakes Walls are Solid does a lot more and is not compatible with this mod since they overlap. Hope that helps!

I just found out that changing the damageDef for Blunt is actually useless for stopping prison breaking prisoners, as they use the mining job to break stuff, which has a fixed damage of 40 for walls and 80 to stone.
