Today I will talk and explain some strategy's on how to beat some of the most irritating RE4 bosses that you might struggle on to the point where you need an older family member to do it for you. It's ok, I understand it too...

Before We Begin

A warm welcome goes out to everyone reading. I'd just like to mention how much I love Resident Evil 4 and how excited I am for the remake. I think that everyone should have the chance to experience this game for themselves. Whether you're a beginner or someone who has already played the game, today I present some of the strategy's I personally used when playing the game.
Chainsaw Man

The Chainsaw Man or also known as Dr. Salvador is the first mini boss you encounter at the start of the game, The best weapon to use on him is definitely the shotgun which you find in the house you enter at the village.

Later on, when you do eventually get the choice of upgrading your pistol. When using your shotgun, The Chainsaw Man won't get up for a couple of seconds giving you time to use your pistol on him.

When having to deal with two at once, use an incendiary grenade or flashbang to distract them for a couple of seconds, then, you'd want to use your shotgun to knock them down. It is optional to use a TMP or Magnum but make sure to definitely save your magnum ammo for bosses as you don't get a lot of it throughout RE4.
Del Lago

Del Lago is actually the first main boss you come across in Resident Evil 4 and will be tricky for your first time fighting. Even though you do have an unlimited supply of harpoons, it's best not to go to waste as it does take up time to reload. You want to aim for it's mouth but by doing so you need to watch out because Del Lago now and again will disappear into the water. While that is happening, that'll give you time to heal and reload.

Every time you get knocked off the boat, Del Lago becomes slightly faster making the chances of you dying higher. You remember when I said that it will be tricky for your first time fighting? Well that's because it will definitely take you a couple of tries to beat Del Lago and simply because he can basically one hit you instantly! My first couple of times were quite annoying because I didn't actually know what I was doing. If you've played other Resident Evil games in the past, you'd maybe assume that by hitting it with the harpoons, it will slightly decrease it's damage over time, but no! The only way that you'd possibly be able to beat this boss is to aim for it's mouth. The one thing gamers would usually get mixed up on when trying to defeat this boss is that problem, so you really need to make sure that you know what you're doing and you know how to defeat the boss.
El Gigante

Now for this boss fight, it all comes down to your decisions before hand. If you do decide to help the dog at the opening of the game, then it actually comes back to return the favour by distracting El Gigante. The dog doesn't appear though until you do a certain amount of damage to the boss. Now El Gigante can actually be really annoying if you don't have the dog and you need to timely dodge it's attacks too.

Before anything, make sure you loot the huts for any useful items that may come in handy to you and make sure you act fast about it because you're never save, even in the huts. Make sure you have a TMP for this fight because personally, at a distance, fire your TMP at El Gigante but don't and I mean DON'T use your shotgun in this battle until necessary because unless it's the only weapon you have bullets for, don't use it because it's practically useless.

Using your pistol or TMP would be your best bet but make sure you're also using your grenades because they are really good against these guys.

When El Gigante is knocked down and the Plaga comes out of his back, make sure to instead of using bullets, climb on top of El Gigante and cut the Plaga, It really shouldn't take you that long to defeat him.
Bella Sisters (Option 1)

Now on your way with Ashley to the extraction point where "The helicopter will pick you up" you come across Luiz once again and have to fight a big hoard of zombies cornered in a house. After though, you have a choice to go left or right. If you choose to go left then you'd be presented with some enemies and afterwards introduced to the Bella Sisters. Now if you thought the Chainsaw Men were hard these are just as hard, if not harder. First of all it's not just one Bella Sister you have to fight but TWO! Two of them and not to mention they come at you faster than a man after hearing the pregnancy test results, like seriously, these things kind of scare me.

My first suggestion is to keep a distance from them because they run fast! Try and use your rifle to get a few head shots on them but make sure to kill one at a time and focus on only one.

When the sisters do appear, more Village Ganado's start appearing as well and so before you know it you're dead. Make sure to be stocked up on grenades for these girls because they are annoying.

More or less what I'm trying to say is if you're low on supply's (Ammo, Health etc.) then just don't choose option 1 and instead of choosing the Left path, choose the Right one.
Another El Gigante (Option 2)

Personally, the right path is the easier and quicker route to take. When you enter the path, it should be quite empty until another El Gigante appears and Ashley shouts pointing a boulder. If you time it perfectly, you should be able to hit the El Gigante with the boulder buying you a couple of seconds to kick the door open leading to the other section. When you come across a bunch of huts and a door, go in the huts to look for a key, don't waste your time trying to open a locked door because that's the exact thing I did when doing this the first time.

If the El Gigante does catch up with you, just make sure you dodge it's attacks, It is optional to fight it but at the time of me playing, I had hardly any ammo to spare and I just wanted to get out of there alive.
Bitores Mendez

Being my most creative boss fight in the game, Bitores Mendez is quite a challenge but if i'm not mistaken I did beat this dude 1st try.

For the first couple of minutes of this boss fight, you just want to destroy the ♥♥♥♥ out of him. His first Phase is the easiest and should only last a minute or less. For this fight your best bet is the TMP and the Shotgun. The Pistol I'd say isn't the best for using on him, unless your Pistol has been upgraded a bunch.

You can find items scattered all across the area so make sure to keep a look out for that. You'd know when he starts going into his second face when you quite literally blow his legs off. He'll then start climbing around the place. Avoid his quick timed attacks and try and not get too near him when he's attacking. Only use your grenades when he is in his first and only if you have to, use your Pistol or Magnum and saver your Shotgun.

When the battle is over, you should have collected his fake eye and entered the castle. All I can really say for now on is good luck... You're gonna need it for the middle section of the game.
Garrador

For me, Garrador is one of those mini bosses who for the first time encountering made Bitores Mendez look like child's play. I'm not sure, there's something about him that for the first time made me not want to deal with this guy.

As soon as he charges towards you, you simply just run away until his Plaga on his back is visible and take a shot at it. He should go down in a few hits but really there's not other way to put it.
Verdugo

Verdugo is another one of the bosses who you don't actually have to waste any ammo on but it's hard to do so. When you encounter Verdugo you'll want to find the nearest liquid nitrogen tank and spray him with it because this is the only way to defeat him, Verdugo is actually the only boss in the game that I'd class as unstoppable to an extent because you cannot kill him without liquid nitrogen.

You can find tanks all over the area which you probably already noticed but unfortunately there's only a limited amount and for then on you'd just have to run out the timer like I did by dodging his attacks and running away from him. There's really no point trying to waste any ammo on him unless you have sprayed him with the liquid nitrogen but at the end of the day you can always just run out the timer by running around the place.

Verdugo I'd say is one of the more harder bosses to defeat simply because he is practically unstoppable and just as a whole is really annoying. if you manage to beat him then congratulations because he is tough.

I used my Pistol to try and kill him but it would probably be faster and easier using the shotgun or the Magnum, whatever best suits you and whatever you've upgraded the most I'd say.
Ramon Salazar

I'm honestly not sure why but I always thought that Ramon Salazar was such a unique but unusual character in the whole Resident Evil franchise because normally the usual RE boss would be described as really tall or big and intimidating but Ramon just reminds me of some brain washed kid. At the end of the day, Ramon is somewhat being controlled by Saddler as of everyone else in the game but he is in the a big chunk of the game and I just wish I could've seen more of him, but same goes to Mendez because he was in the game for a very short time and I really hoped that he was the main antagonist.

I really hate to say it but this boss fight is probably one of the easiest boss fights I've ever experienced. Now the TMP absolutely annihilates him so hoping you have enough ammo for the fight. Aim for the eye with TMP, once it comes to Salazar you'll want to get your magnum out and start firing away. The thing that can really ♥♥♥♥ you up is the mouth that can basically instantly kill you so you need to dodge that. Even though there is loot down below at the bottom, don't go there until the end as there is Plaga monsters down there which'll also ♥♥♥♥ you up, so wait until the end so they're gone, and that's the boss fight.

Regenerators & Iron Maidens

I thought I'd cover these guys as a whole because there's not much of a difference between them both. Probably one of the scariest enemies in the game, The Regenerators & Iron Maidens can only be killed using a Infrared Scope which can attach either on your Semi-Auto Rifle or just the plain one. If you don't have any of these two weapons then you'd just have to run the whole way through the area but if you do attach it onto your rifle by combining it with the rifle and there you go. They tend to have different weak spots in different areas. They can cause a lot of damage but just make sure to stay away from them.
U-3

Something I did do when I first beat this boss was use all my ammo for the first section of the boss fight but that can easily be prevented and there's really no point doing it. The puzzles shouldn't be too hard but once you've gotten to the end U-3 would drop to it's death right and that's the whole boss fight? Well no, there's a second phase, there's always a second phase. For this, there are gasoline cans around the perimeter which you can use on U-3. On it's third and final phase, you'll have to do some quick timing events until it pops up. I ran out of bullets that I had to stab the thing to death. That is an option but you can just save your ammo.
Jack Krauser

A fellow partner and friend of Leon's in Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles for the wii, you fight against him in this game. The first thing you should be aware of is the quick time events as well as the amount of time you have to defeat this boss which is only 3 minutes. As you go through the area collecting pieces to the door you need to go past, you encounter Jack.

For this, using the knife is actually the better option. Make sure to pick up all the loot too so you don't miss out on anything extra. It is also very important to learn Jack's movements and how he attacks. In the middle of these fights, he'd throw a flash grenade blinding you for half a second to find him nowhere. When you proceed through, there will also be these robotic sentry devices. You need to watch out for the ones that crawl on the ground as they will blow up when they come close, for the other type. They tend to fire at you but they can go down in a hit or two. Make sure you have enough shotgun ammo for this fight.

Eventually making it to the top, and collecting another one of those pieces for the door, it turns out Jack has the last one and you only have three minutes to kill him for it until the area blows up. Avoiding his attacks, you want to fire your shotgun at his knees until he drops down, and then when he's unconscious, stab him with your knife one or two times. The knife does a lot of damage to Jack and if you repeat that sequence he should be quick to kill.

Keep in mind this boss fight is very long and time consuming so make sure you come prepared.
Osmund Saddler

If you've made it this far then well done, not many people do. Saddler's boss fight is actually quite easy and isn't hard in any way at all. With your shotgun, shoot Osmund's eyes. This was make his spider formed parasite expose himself, you should do most of the damage with the magnum and your Pistol if you can.

Avoid the attacks as best as you can, try and get in the middle of him so he can't hit you. Ada will eventually throw you at rocket launcher you can use to defeat Saddler. Afterwards you just about have time to escape and that's the end of the Resident Evil 4...
Finishing it off

Special thanks for reading if you made it this far, and a big congratulations for beating the game!!!!

First time fighting Verdugo, I had no idea that you had to knock down the nitrogen tanks, so I thought you had to outlast him until the elevator showed up. And this was in the VR version too.

When I get the RE4 remake I'm actually going to try and use these strategies and see how I do but by then, I should probably have a new guide open.

One of my all time favourite game and the remake is well quiet sure going to be intense. Thing about shotgun its like actual basic necessity in every resident evil games and situation like Verdugo definitely my first time just had to run out the timer but nitrogen tank along with a rocket launcher just makes it easy.

One quick and easy way to kill Verdugo is to hold on to the rocket launcher you find in the castle. once you hit the power button run to the door (it will lock on you) Verdugo jumps down and blocks you but pop a stun run past drop the nitrogen tank in the room and then use the rocket launcher on him. BOOM by by Verdugo.
