Introduction

Like the description said , you want to play pyro correct?

This guide will guide you into the ways of pyro and its art of the gas passer,

Why the gas passer and not an secondary like the detonator and jetpack?




Simply because the gas passer is the best item in the game and it overshadows everything in Pyro's arsenal! (Even flamethowers!)

It does a whopping 350 AOE damage on a group of robots and its even lingers for you to get more robots!! (more kills!)

Before you go pyro!

This should be your main loadout as a expert gas pyro

• Slot 1: Flamethrower ( in case of sentry busters to airblast/giants to pit into grinders or killholes!)

• Slot 2 : Gas (obviously)

• Slot 3: Any (you won't be using it either way)

Can you press the following buttons? ;

1 + M1 ? (equip flamethrower for emergencies ONLY)

2 + M1 ? (equip gas passer and throw, this is your main source of damage)

M2 ? (airblasting, It's for airblasting sentry busters and giant medics! Your engineer would love you and medic will pocket you for life)

H ? (for buying back when you die and using canteens)

W ? (for walking straight to the bots ! how will you do damage otherwise??)

Upgrades

You should ALWAYS prioritize the gas first in your upgrade station after connecting into a Mannup server,
we will be using EE as our example ;
On the upgrades!


Spend your starting money on eoi and max recharge on your gas passer before any other upgrade, hok or damage doesn't matter if youre going to spam gas either way

If you would like to have the extra survivability for pyro , heath regan is also pretty good in case you get hit by chip or splash damage!



if you have some spare change with you, feel free to buy ammo canteens since you would want to instantly get your gas passer back!

How to act and respond to certain situations

This section will be about how to act towards your fellow team and responding to situations you aren't familiar with
Let's start!

When a high tour says this ;


DON'T F4!
Your whole team needs to upgrade and upgrading takes a while! They are being toxic by excepting people to upgrade quickly and ready-ing up after!



DON'T SWITCH!
You don't need to switch classes! you paid for your ticket and you know the art of the gas passer unlike those tosic tryhards in mvm, they are simply just jealous of you stealing their damage!



DON'T GAIN BRAIN CELLS TO PLAY THE GAME!

These tosic tryhards just simply don't understand the ways of the gas and its strats, which we will go through in the next section!

Postioning and strategies

For positioning, it's one of the most important things to learn as Pyro!

Since we are playing the gas playstyle and not yucky phlog cancelling with det/jetpack, we will positioning ourselves more passively!

For a more passive pyro playstyle, we need to make sure that we still can gas the bots ( to kill! ) and we need to make sure that we have a good view of the bots!

Here's some good examples of good positioning!


Remember that a good position is somewhere where the bots wont shoot you and you would never take damage!

Extras

Here is some extra info you'd love to learn to improve the ways of pyro!

• You can also use degreaser for the quicker weapon switch to quickly go gas and throw the gas passer on giants for that EXTRA dps!!! But you would need to invest into ammo capacity early on to airblast those busters away!
  
  
• The phlog is simply not worth using as it has no airblast and dragon fury overshadows the phlog in tank damage!!!! (source : trust me i'm pro)
  
  
• Back burner is very bad, only 4 airblast without any ammo capacity!! like come on, you need to airblast those giants and sentry buster ((((
  
  
• Sniper is one of the WORST classes you could go! You need to aim for it to work! Gas doesn't need to aim = GOOD!
  
  
• Always try to pit the gate-bots, even if the first gate is not even captured
  
  
• The Volcano Fragment is also pretty good if you plan to use your melee at urgent emergencies !!
  
  
• If you have a sniper anyways, Airblasting upwards will allow your Sniper to go for Aerial Headshots, increasing the amount of kills on their Australium Sniper Rifle's Strange Part for Airborne Enemies Killed!!!
  
  
• For late wave , spending 400 Credits for 25% Damage is idiotic as Burn Damage only costs 250 Credits, thus allowing you to save credits, and buy other upgrades, like Teleport to Spawn in case a Giant Scout gets behind, Combined with Burn Time, you can double your DPS again with 20s of Afterburn!!!!!!!

@Super Idol , first you need to open the text chat (usually binded to y!) and start calling them a tacobot for not letting them have your fun! usually you can identity those tacoclowns usually by 1. they take cheated games and they only care abour their looot!!! 2. they are policing your games and enforcing meta! counter this by going very off meta (fon scout, huntsman sniper, gunslinger!) , i hope this respond will help you in your journey in mvm :D
