ZiU-682 (also ZiU-9) is a Soviet and Russian high-floor large-capacity trolleybus for intracity passenger traffic. This trolleybus model was in mass production from 1972 to 2015 and has gone through several upgrades. Large production volume (42) ZiU-9/682, since the late 1970s, he managed to become the most significant trolleybus model both in the Soviet Union (later in Russia) and in the world, where it was operated in more than two dozen countries .
Since October 2002, a modification of the ZiU-682G-016.02 with the project name ZiU-682G-019 (ZiU-682G0L) has been serially produced, which is a further development of the ZiU-682G-018 model. The outer plating of the sides is made of seamless steel sheet, the plating of the front part of the trolleybus is combined, using fiberglass panels. The front bumper was also fiberglass. The windows of the passenger compartment have tinted glass, a new panoramic windshield is installed. The trolleybus has an increased anti-corrosion protection of the body, including the use of Sikkens conductive primers in overlap welds, a phosphate protective coating, as well as an additional coating, sidewall, front and rear parts with a protective coating.
