F/V Hannah Boden

The F/V Hannah Boden is a commercial Longliner fishing vessel built in 1972 by Eastern Shipbuilding Group.

The Hannah Boden was originally built as a combination lobster and longliner swordfishing boat. The boat gained fame after its running mate, the Andrea Gail, which was also built at Eastern, was lost at sea during the “Perfect Storm” of 1991. The Hannah Boden and the vessel’s captain, Linda Greenlaw, were featured in both the book and the movie. The Hannah Boden remains in active service as a swordfishing vessel.

The Hannah Boden was also featured in the TV Series "SWORDS: Life on the Line"

This 1:1 scale replica of the Hannah Boden was built unintentionally for the anniversary of it's launch year. Due to this being my first complete ship, there are some issues, primarily the stabilization of the ship, which will cause it to capsize in high seas if not carefully steered.

In the bridge is a noticeboard that has instructions on certain things. Stabilization is very unstable and someday may be fixed, for now don't sail sideways into waves if you can.

(Note: i may be wrong about the radar, i don't remember which addon it was, just guessing judging by what the radar setup looks like.)
This ship may still explode if heated too much, so just for caution, disable engine overheating.

Q&A (Mainly because i don't usually check comments on things until it's too late)

Q: Isn't the Hannah Boden a different boat and color?
A: You're thinking of the version in "The Perfect Storm" which features incorrect details on the HB (Hannah Boden), primarily the color. As far as i know there are no records of the HB being painted red, although there is a strange google result that shows a similar looking boat painted red, however i couldn't find any other info on that.

Q: How do i start it up?
A: Read the noticeboard in the bridge, it should help.

Q: What sources did you use?
A: Footage from Swords life on the Line and random images from google.

Q: Why does it capsize in heavy winds and waves?
A: Stabilization is very unstable, and someday may be fixed, for now don't sail sideways into waves if you can. Edit: The recent physics updates may have solved this issue.
