How to start Until you Fall using SteamVR instead of Oculus native

On some computers Until You Fall will only start using the Oculus Hub instead of running with SteamVR even if you open the game while in SteamVR. This launch option forces SteamVR to always be used no matter what settings you have set up.

People usually want to run the game in SteamVR because the Oculus Hub doesn't support VR overlays like fpsVR and OVR Toolkit

What is the benefit of doing this? I own an oculus quest 2 headset and I think I open it up through steam vr. I just open steamvr from the oculus hub then run the game. Is there a difference in this method? And what are the benefits?
