The Wheel of Time: Third Age

Description
Third Age is a fan made adventure boardgame based on The Wheel Of Time books by Robert Jordan. Two to five players explore a map of the Westlands; levelling up their character as they collect resources, score points, and discover new locations. Players take turns to either move their character or to play special actions such as Weaves, Tactics and Plots. Friends from the series are discovered along the way and can be recruited into your party, but if you’re not prepared for a fight then an untimely enemy might make you pay the butcher’s bill. Most enemies aren’t so tough, but the most powerful among them are the Forsaken. Not only are they likely to blow a hole in your side, they stick around on the board to fight anybody else who comes too close. When three of the Forsaken are defeated the players face The Last Battle, and the player with the most victory points wins!

A full rulebook is found within the game. I do not own any of the artwork used on character cards, but sourced it from various official and fan arts found around the web. I do not own any rights towards producing wheel of time content, this is purely a none profit project for fans to enjoy a board game about their favourite series that they don't otherwise have access to. I have tried to get it made official to no current avail, but unless any further developments occur I decided to upload the mod here finally available for anyone to download.

If you would like to join the community of players online that has grown from playtesting this game, we have a Discord Server https://discord.gg/BFJUhXUEjg where many people arrange and play games on a regular basis. This is also the best place to be for any updates on the game, get clarifications on rules questions, and access to enter the Third Age Competitive League, which we stream on YouTube youtube.com/wheeluptime multiple times every month! Video tutorials are also available on the same channel.

Keep an eye out for updates and new content every now and then. The game has been developed and expanded substantially since its original incarnations, and already has a wealth of thematic content related to the wheel of time. That being said, I'm always coming up with new ideas and always looking for new ways to keep the game fresh.

If you are a Wheel of Time fan, this is a must! I've been a fan of the books for over 20 years and this game is so much fun. The gameplay and attention to detail is beautiful. I'd also recommend the Discord group.

Love this game! Could not recommend it more to people who like intense strategy games and aren't afraid of Wheel of Time spoilers. If you like the Wheel of Time, you'll LOVE how thematic the scenarios you find yourself in will feel.

Third age is the reason i got Tabletop in the first place, and since then i spent over 200hrs playing this game. No amount of praise would do it justice. It's complex without being complicated, easy enough to learn and with time to master. The amount of love and passion that went into this project are obvious in every card and character. It's a beautifully crafted game and i recommend it wholeheartedly.

Hey @Guard1an4! It's weird, I see what you mean when I click the links in the description myself. The youtube one does the same for me. I think this is a steam issue and not a link issue, if you copy and paste the URL into your browser it works fine :) alternatively theres always a live link in my twitter bio, which is also linked here!

Third Age is incredibly fun to play! The players are very well balanced and the game play is exactly the right ratio of skill vs. luck to keep every game fresh! Whether you're a Wheel of Time fan or just looking for an expertly crafted and engaging board game, I highly recommend playing Third Age!
