Self Righting Lifeboat - ALB Slánaitheoir

ALB Slánaitheoir (Translating to Saviour) is an all weather self righting lifeboat. She has a Survivor capacity of 26 and seating for 6 crew. The lifeboat is capable of firefighting, search and rescue/recovery, towing and salvage. The boats design and weight distribution allows it to handle well in even extreme weather conditions, the boat is also self righting meaning it will recover naturally if it capsizes (provided that the door to the cabins is closed so water does not get in, if water does get in the door can be closed and bilge pumps can be used). The design takes heavy inspiration from the Trent Class lifeboats of the RNLI. The vessel also has a stormlink capacity of 25.
