Definitive Edition Issues

This new version of Outward has broken the directory pathway for most mod managers as well as braking manual installs natural intuitiveness.

Let Me Offer The Solution!

Before We Get Started Make Sure To Back Up Any Saves You Wish To Keep! You Will Have To Copy Them Over In Order To Play Them Modded!

Installing

First Things First! Install Outward - Then go into Properties>Betas>Select Default Mono Branch

This Allows Outward to be modded, Note that this and all other mods will NOT disable Achievements

Second, Download ThunderStore Mod Manager[www.overwolf.com] or nothing! It doesn't require a sign up and is free to use.
Don't be stubborn as this is the most Up To Date ModDB!
Install in the same drive as Outward i.e C:Programs

Open ThunderStore Mod Manager>Search & Select Outward>Set as Default>Favorite Game
This will open up Outwards Default Mod Profile, you will select it and be brought to the Outward dashboard

!DO NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE YET!

Modding

Before You Can Start Adding Mods You MUST Follow These Steps Or it Will Not Work
In order for mods to work on the Definitive Edition you must rename a file for mods to work

Open The Outward Dashboard In the ThunderStore Mod Manager

Under "Other" Select (Settings)

In The Settings Tab Scroll Down And Select "Change Outward Directory"
Get to the Outward Definitive Edition Directory & Rename [Outward Definitive Edition.exe] to [Outward.exe] Select the Renamed file and Open

The Most important part is Here!


FINAL STEP!
Open File Explorer to Your Outward Defed Directory!
i.e. E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Outward\Outward_Defed

You can either press Undo or Manually Rename [Outward.exe] back to [Outward Definitive Edition.exe]

i.e. E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Outward\Outward_Defed

Congrats!

Your now Ready to Download mods By clicking Online and Scrolling through the Mods Available!

Your Directory is now fixed and it should be easier to mod manually if you choose to as well!

All mods that are Available are compatible with Outward Definitive Edition!

The Only Mod Required to Download Is BeplnEexPack_Outward

From Now On you will ONLY start Outward through the ThunderStore Mod Manager *NOT STEAM*
*They are two different versions and failing to follow this could Harm save files*

I have followed the instructions to a T, it worked for mine but not my wife's, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and mod manager twice but every time I click launch modded on my wife's pc it launches unmodded any advice on whats causing the issue? I have also cleared my roamingappdata and appdata

To the people below me saying it doesn't work and are using the r2modman or thunderstore app, you guys need to read. In the game select, pick "Outward" not the "Outward Definitive".

your instructions make no sense. i cant start it if i rename it becuase thunderstore demands a file name that doesnt exist. its just called outward in mine, not outward definitive edition.exe, thats all wrong. but if i do rename it steam stops it. says it doesnt know where the exe is because we renamed it. Also i bought the definitive edition but its just called outward.
